It’s a reveal. The website has written details, it’s maybe clearer there.

It’s a novel and entertaining reveal of a forced item.
I ordered this because I have been reminded twice recently how strong a simple force using something such as DFB or a SvenPad along with an entertaining reveal can be. I think that sometimes as magicians we may discount something involving a simple force because as magicians it is so commonplace and mundane to us. But specs are often very fooled if done well. Admittedly, I had kind of forgotten this myself until I had two separate performances and an effect that I had thought to be pretty simple actually got much stronger reactions than other effects which I had expected would be much more fooling. Noel and Roddy put out some very clever things and I apparently have very similar tastes to them as I end up purchasing many of their releases. |

Do we know what the extra mini iPad is made of? Plastic? Metal? Resin? Something else?

Thanks for the interest in KeyPad folks. If you’ve seen us at magic conventions over the last few years you may have seen us dem it, it’s always been crazy popular, it’s super simple to do and hits really hard.
The iPad is made from a metal alloy. It lives in the protective leather keyring so with proper care, will last a really long time. I have kept my original one on my keys since the first day I got it, used it hundreds of times demming at conventions and gigs, it still looks great. We teach a couple of different moves you can do with the keyring too and it makes a great fidget toy ???? We go over a lot of thoughts on KeyPad during last nights live stream which you can catch again at https://www.youtube.com/live/09mXOTQiRTU?si=5347sIoealF_Zkrc Also two straight performances here. We are using DFB in these clips but any force is fine and we give you card stickers so if you want to do with cards, use your face force. https://youtu.be/kKEhgRK0rvI?si=WRbnTUwPJGpHY0IH https://youtu.be/X4ZhsbdBKF8?si=svKzAjV6TvXXCE-C |

IMO, KeyPad is a small item that will play huge with your audience. I think this is a great release! It would be nice if they offered a discount for those who wanted to purchase more than one unit. I think the impact potential (and FUN) is going to be so good with this along with the size of the unit that carrying a couple of these on your person would not take away much pocket space allowing a couple different reveals with a different person in the group. I typically never see a need to repeat an effect especially at busy paid events where your time is limited in order to get through everybody attending. However, Keypad for me is different, I would love to have the ability to repeat this because I honestly believe people will love not just the reveal moment but will love the novel small tiny Ipad that is going to get great reactions and more importantly laughs!

It mentions re-positional stickers that you can change between shows but do you get more than one item to put the stickers on so that you don't have to use the same reveal all night or would you simply have to purchase two ?

You only get one blank iPad with KeyPad and if you wanted to repeat at the moment you’d need to buy an extra one or change out the sticker, it’s not realistic to change our sticker at a gig though, you’d want to do that at a relaxed moment at home. KeyPad was originally conceived as a solution for spur of the moment magic if you are out and unprepared. Now it’s very clear that you guys need extra blank iPads if you want to repeat it so we are working hard on that. I’m hoping about a month till you can get extra blank iPads. That will make KeyPad not only the perfect edc but also a killer commercial magic tool for gigging magicians.

It is nice to see a creator adjust to market demands so effortlessly. I think the choice to make more iPad blanks available will make more money for the creator while giving magicians guilt-free repeatability and options.
Win Win. I, for one, will order as soon as additional blanks are available. Simple to do, easy to understand (I swear), and inherently intriguing. Quote: On Apr 6, 2026, Noel wrote:

I’ve been using this for over a yr. I’m actually on my second one because I lost the first. At first, I thought this would just be a throw away that I’d never use but I’ve been pleasantly surprised. I’ve been using it with DFB and it gets great reactions. Simple to do and easy to carry with you everywhere so you always have something different to perform when needed.

I really like this! So easy to do for such a powerful effect. Even with my somewhat shaky hands, I can do the necessary 'move.'
