Maybe I'm missing something but what's the difference to a free password manager like Keepass?

It seems like Keepass has a minimum of $2 subscription per month. Which represents 7 months to cover the price of My Library.

Keepass is free and open source

Another option, free and open source was offered to the community.

I put together a free offering that seems to do a lot of what this app does, available to members for the cafe. You can also download the html file and tweak and change to your hearts content.

Options can be good things. Different people have different criteria for deciding what is the best solution.

This is excellent - thanks for sharing. I have done a little noodling around with the AI overlords and built my own version of what you have. Very cool.

People keep mentioning the free Vanishing Inc. app, but it only allows entering three pieces of information: the name, the link to the instructions (no uploading), and an optional password.

It doesn't provide any ability to import or export your data. With all of the technical issues VI has had since Christmas, I wouldn't count on being able to access your data in the future.

Caused by a Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack. Not VI's fault. The revamped site works great.

I wasn't assigning blame, but if the servers aren't available, they aren't available.

Of course, the same thing could happen with a paid app (like Jordan's) if you don't have the ability to download and store your data.

The core philosophy behind My Library is pure convenience and speed. It’s designed for the performer who wants to open an app and have everything right there—no logging in every time, no searching for specific links, and no friction. If you want to access a video in under 10 seconds, that’s where this shines.

This is a very modern approach which I have come to like, to be frank. I actually enjoy having everything in one place and not have to go through a website, log in and do three more steps to arrive at what I want. If this were an app it would be even better. I have come to rely on my phone more than my desktop when it comes to watching tutorials on the go. Especially in the tram or metro.

Congratulations for putting this together. It's easy to bash someone's product and it's really admirable to see how well you've handled the discussions so far.

p.s. I didn't know about the VanishingInc thing. Super useful!
