Surprised to not see a post already. Lot of hype at blackpool.
https://alakazam.co.uk/products/the-cast......the-1914 A modern, hard-case credit card holder engineered for one purpose: certainty. Designed from the ground up by Simon Lipkin, The Castle Wallet allows you to peek and write directly onto a card, not removed, not isolated, but held inside the wallet, sandwiched between other cards. Exactly where it should be. No electronics. No lighting restrictions. No compromises. Over the course of nearly two years, we worked closely with our manufacturer, refining every detail until the wallet performed exactly as intended. The result is a tool that delivers instant access, total reliability, and with complete confidence in real-world conditions. This is a wallet built for the modern performer — discreet, practical, and devastatingly effective. Included with your purchase is a full, in-depth tutorial, where Simon teaches his personal, hard-hitting routines and shows you how to extract maximum impact from this elegant device. The Castle Wallet A new standard in peeks. Designed to be trusted. |

I love me a wallet, but it's a pass on this one.
Alakazam were clear about what it does and how it works, and I really appreciate that as it helped me make a smart buying decision. They still got my money for the Crazy Horse Brown versions of the Shadow and Z-Fold wallets! |

I watched a few of the explanations in my 1914 account.
It’s a great idea and very disarming. Very practical looking and simple to use. Can’t wait for it! |

The double writing option intrigues me, as does the peek method.
I would consider pairing the Castle wallet with “Multipen” by Mark Lemon/Velith Studios (currently sold out). |

This is my first experience of this kind of wallet (hard shell card wallet) and personally, the style is yet to grow on me, so I’m not sure if it will be an EDC as I much prefer carrying a leather wallet, however the method is very clever and the wallet is well made. For a size comparison, it’s about the same width as a pack of cards, 5mm or so taller and maybe 2 or 3mm thinner. There are 7 routines included with the download along with a bonus section from Lewis Leval. I look forward to digging into it over the next few weeks when I have more time |

Can anyone please confirm whether or not it will hold US-sized business cards without having to trim them?
I know it'll hold UK business cards, but those are a different size.

Bummer. The US/Canada/etc size is the most common globally, AFAIK.
I understand that Simon and 1914/Alakazam are based in the UK, but it seems like a misstep to not make the wallet fit that card size. Love the overall concept, and I love Simon's other releases (especially the highly under-rated Simon Says) but the requirement to trim the cards makes this one a pass for me.

The Castle Wallet has been custom designed to match the width of a standard business card. With most wallets of this style, UK or US business cards simply wouldn’t fit inside at all. We intentionally didn’t adjust the height of the wallet, as doing so would compromise its core functionality.
With the Castle Wallet, you can absolutely use US business cards without trimming them, they’ll just sit slightly proud at the top. This doesn’t affect the handling or performance of any of the routines. And of course, as many prefer when using this style of wallet, you can keep your business cards under the external band, meaning no trimming is required. Hope that helps! Peter |

Its not a bad idea, it doesn't fit me since I like bifold wallets to carry packet tricks too,
but its an interesting option |

Wallet seems cool. AI generated ad copy is annoying.

I really like the idea of the Castle Wallet and the double writing feature is really cool. Reminds me of Jeff Prace’s wonderful Passenger Wallet. It can allow for a one ahead style routine with two reveals. It’s also less angly than some but for those that still prefer to carry their wallet in a back pocket the Castle may not be ideal. Sitting on it is either going to hurt the wallet or hurt you, or both!
But having said that, for peeks I still prefer the Shelby Wallet. It’s softer and more streamlined, holds US sized cards which in this case is important since the cards go in with the long side first, and you can see most of the card as opposed to only the bottom quarter. But if you want the double writing and a peek this may be a good choice. The US sized cards standing proud just a bit is not a big deal to me. |

For those who have it and also know the original SUC wallet (and the SUC II), what would you say the advantages of the Castle wallet are? More deceptive because the business card is trapped between two cards? Anything else?

Regarding using a full-size she US business card and having a stick out of the top a bit, I saw a review that said the one issue is that you can’t lock the other cards in so if you tilt the wallet, the other cards will come out. Is that true?

Received mine yesterday. I like so far for the most part - though I am a regular billfold/wallet kind of person.
I would love to compare notes with other hands-on users... |

For me that feature wasn't intuitive and I thought the same thing at first. Sent a question to Alakazam and they answered promptly - and of course I felt like an idiot. Short answer: yes, the other cards can be locked so that they don't fall out. |

Great, thanks!
One other question, could you use it to pocket write? |
