That's so cool, and $34.90 is reasonably priced.

Seems to have an odd jump cut at the time of the work being done.

For the face: clearly a case of AI translation

I see a lot of dealers have misspelled it as 'prdiction' because of accented 'e', which might be limiting searches.

Here's the direct link on Penguin but it's out of stock:

To me it looks similar to an old trick by Mickael Chatelain called Mental Parano, maybe with a few differences.

It’s very obvious…. The back of the box is ———-. He also flashed! I am amused magicians love these one deck effects.

Also, on the final 2 seconds of the demo where it shows the animation of the post-it note falling onto the back of the card case, the animation also tips the method. Odd choice.

Neat trick. Seems very similar in method to Banacheck's Loco Logo.

Nothing wrong with that if the trick is a closer, for instance.

In the original 1940's version described in The Jinx, the effect could not be simpler. The performer writes the name of a card on a billet and drops it into an empty cup (originally a hat, but who wears hats nowadays?). A spectator thinks of a card, which is then removed from the deck and dropped into the cup.

The spectator removes the billet and the card: they match.

The deck can be Hindu shuffled at the start of the effect, and there’s no silly cutting and re-casing of the deck.

If it’s not used as a closer, Theodore Annemann describes a deck switch to allow the performer to continue with the show.

Agree, I thought that as seen in the demo the effect was not worth the procedure.

I guess I must be slow on the uptake because it just looks like a post card on a box. What method are you seeing alluded to?

You can tell what is going on by where he cuts his cards to after the spectator makes the selection and at 1:49 mark of the demo video you can see the back of his cards and know exactly what is going on. it seems an OK trick.

I see what you're talking about. If that's part of the method, that's a crazy long way to go for a card prediction.

They did the trick a disservice with that trailer. So much cutting, fast-forwarding, the usage of ai for translation. So bad.

But truly a wonderful effect.
