Just saw this new release from Ellusionist. Did anyone pick this up at Blackpool? Curious as to what the limitations are and angles on this.

Also, would this be able to work with a very small object, say the size of a pea?

Probably -- just looks like black thread. The objects in the video literally bounce like they are on the end of a string. And unless I am going to funeral not wearing that much black. I may be wrong but meh

You are correct: that's what the page says. It's just not accurate.

This looks genuinely awful. Maybe the worst close-up levitation I've ever seen?

Also nothing new. Old principle.

Thanks for the reply Psychiac. The reasoning for my question is that I thought that this might be right for something I was working on, which was freezing a raindrop in midair when it was raining, using a small glass bead or something similar. The levitation/stopping motion would be acceptable in that case. Guess I’ll keep using my old method.

The bouncing when it slows down is a dead giveaway to the method

Not necessarily. You cannot have a card slide vertically and stop in mid air with any other IT hookup. This is what makes this effect unique. You give more away by having a bill levitate and bounce than with Levita. Also you can combine the effects with the card going up to your mouth and then down to your hand which completes the routine like in the trailer.

Also the effect with the coin is awesome. It is out of the ordinary and hard to backtrack.

As far as clothing restrictions is like any IT effect. Although the hookup is very practical and a little far from you so any color of clothes will be fine

I like it and it is fun to perform

I don’t mean the hookup is obvious. I just think that the way the object moves as it stops is a dead giveaway that IT is being used.

I like it. While I know that IT is being used, I can honestly say that I have no idea what the hookup is. The effect sits in a bit of an uncanny valley where the physics are really baffling.
