I'm writing to share my experience ordering from Eric Samuels at Mentalism Tools, for the White Box: https://mentalismtools.com/products/the-white-box-1

I searched for reviews before ordering and couldn't find any, so here are my comments on it.

What is it?

The White Box an OM style billet switching box. Of course these days, there are many options available for this sort of tool, but I was looking for something that:

1. Looked classy and professional
2. Looks innocent and justified (and something you could buy at a real office supply store)
3. Could be locked
4. Could switch 25-30 sealed coin sized envelopes

This completely exceeded my expectations. It looks and feels completely bullet-proof, and the craftsmanship is exceptional. All the tiny details have been attended to: from the magnetic enclosures that make everything work, the padded soft carrying case that was included, the addition of a lock and key and locking mechanism, and how carefully everything was packaged and how quickly it was shipped to me (it arrived ahead of schedule). These are also individually custom made, so you can request certain things to be made to your liking (such as a larger slit to insert billets for instance). Obviously a ton of work went into designing this, it has been worked in real performances by working pros, and so all the details have been worked out and it should last forever with proper care.

It also comes with a 49 page PDF with additional routines and pieces of advice. My favourite bits were a presentation that involves Mother of All Booktests, how to hide and access a crib in plain view, and a really creative and artistic method of revealing information.

This is one of my favourite all time purchases, and I wish I bought it sooner (as I have attempted to make my own OM style boxes in the past and it never turned out well). The White Box should work 100% of the time and (unlike boxes I tried to make on my own) I can't imagine how the White Box could ever fail.

Eric is an absolute pro and a pleasure to deal with as well. 10/10 would recommend.

PS. Nobody asked me to write this review. I found Eric's work through these forums and I have no prior relationship to him other than buying this item from him. I am always thrilled to discover and support the work of excellent creators.

Just reading this now.

Happy that you're enjoying The White Box, and really appreciate the shout-out!
