I have a packet trick that depends on the cards evenly fanning to avoid exposing the gimmicked card. However, lately they have begun to stick. It seems their finish is no longer slippery. Short of fanning powder, is there anyway to restore the finish?

There is burnishing, but frankly, it’s going to be a laborious process filled with much trial and error.
