Hi everyone, I wanted to let you know about a unique day of mentalism that is happening very soon.

On Wednesday 16 September, mentalists from across the UK, Europe, the USA and beyond will come together in Sheffield, UK for the very first MMR LIVE.

I wanted to create something deliberately intimate and different from a traditional large convention: one day, one room and plenty of opportunities to learn, exchange ideas, jam and make genuine connections.

We have five special sessions planned with:

Nik and Ross are MMR members who will be presenting a special session about creative collaboration and the unexpected outcomes that can emerge when people begin developing ideas together.

The scheduled sessions are only part of the day. I’m equally excited about everything that will happen around them: conversations between sessions, impromptu demonstrations, shared ideas and unexpected performances.

There will also be some familiar names and faces joining us simply to enjoy the gathering, take part in conversations and connect with everyone throughout the day.

Our attending dealers include Read My Mind Ltd, Phill Smith Creative, Paul Brook, Mark Evans and more. You’ll be able to explore new products, see demonstrations and speak directly with the people behind the ideas.

MMR LIVE is taking place at Heist Brew Co in Sheffield, an independent brewery and taproom with Firepit BBQ serving food at the venue. The Cutlery Works food hall is also right next door offering the very best in street food for places around the world.

Despite the name, you do not need to be a My Mind Rocks member to attend.

MMR LIVE is open to the wider mentalism community. If you love mentalism, have an open mind and want to contribute to a relaxed and welcoming gathering, this day is for you.

We already have nearly ten people travelling from the USA, along with attendees from across the UK, Europe and further afield.

Tickets are only £35, which includes five sessions, dealers, demonstrations, jamming and access to a unique international gathering of mentalists.

While the list of speakers is really good, having been part of the jams with Ross and Nik I know they are sharing some quality ideas. Reworking well established ideas, overcoming problems in routines people have tried to solve for many years.

I am really looking forward to their session.

There's a shortage of mentalism gatherings in the UK now, so sorry I'll be missing it. Be looking forward to the lecture footage on the replay after.

Will it be recorded? I didn’t see anything that said it would, unless I missed it, so I wasn’t sure.

I believe the plan is to use some footage for future content for members. I'd rather go and get the full benefit of mingling with people, but sadly I can't get away. But hopefully get to experience some of it.
