Been searching for ITRs and it seems they're not available at most Magic Shops like they use to be. Has Thread work lost its popularity ?

Not sure if it has lost popularity, but I do think there has been perceived advancement on systems.

The original Sorcery Manufacturing ITR's are hard to find now but there are several available options.
For low cost, I would go with Uday Jadugar's Covert Reel: https://www.murphysmagic.com/product.aspx?id=68331 It is a great beginner's ITR. If you are more experienced and want to spend more money for better quality, check out these two: Ellusionist's Venom Pro: https://ellusionist.com/products/venom-pro Joao Miranda's GRAVITY REEL: https://www.murphysmagic.com/product.aspx?id=69316 I haven't played with Gravity Reel but I do have Venom Pro and I'm starting to work through various routines. Bonus tip: Buy two Covert Reels and tie the ends together to get a dual reel, similar to Venom Pro without the high cost. As with all ITR's, practice until your movements are smooth and then practice some more before showing anyone. Good luck! |

I've been a ITR user for many years now and have a considerable collection,.......my Post is more pointing towards how scarce ITR's are now especially refill spools. But your reply should help those that are new to threadwork. Thanks |
