Ijust read on CNN about a retailer that has been authorized to print stamps with anyones picture on it.

I think magicians could benefit from this.

I doubt it is going to happen.

First, I doubt they want to give the right to print stamps to anyone outside the USPS.

Second, one of the criteria of being on a US stamp has always been that you are not alive.

Note the last line: USPS could not be reached for comment.

Cheers,

Tom

Actually, there has been one person whose picture was on a US postage stamp while he was alive. He is still alive. Any guesses as to who it is?

Hi Bill!

There is a stamp commemorating man's first walk on the moon - maybe Neil Armstrong in the space suit?

My face on a postage stamp?

Return to sender... Address unknown... No such number...
In loving memory of Hughie Thomasson 1952-2007.

You brought something beautiful to this world, you touched my heart, my soul and my life. You will be greatly missed.

Until we meet again “my old friend”.

This should clear things up a little.

I agree with Gerald, it seems to fit the criteria of the committee except for the 50 year rule.

P.S. My guess to Bill Palmer's question would have been Nelson Mandela (I thought I saw one once).

Yes, Elvis is still alive. Elvis is flipping burgers at our local Burger King here in Snohomish. Jimmy Hoffa is the manager there also. Smile
