Hi again, I'm just writing to see if any of you are aware of how I could get hold of a pair of doves in England? Also how do I care for them? i.e. What king of cages/averies do they need? What do they eat? Are there any things I should purchase first? And how would I go about training them? Could you recommend any effect I could use?

If there are any websites you could direct me to I would be very grateful.

Niall
P.S If you feel there is something I should consider before getting into dive magic please do say so.

P.P.S Are there specific breeds or age of doves I should go for?

Hi,
I can possibly sort you out with some doves, hows £15 -£20 for two females. You want to either keep them in a cage or an aviary, doves are hard work and are noisy but two females maynot be so bad. Are you a young magician? Doves like split corn wild bird mix pigeon mix, hemp grit chopped up boiled egg and peanut butter and more. Try dove hotline site on magic auction. Do you go to any magic clubs?

You could also look through the many posts in this forum since all of your questions have been asked and answered before.

Niall, you could try these websites. They are not for dove breeding and training specifically however, they should be a source of information for you in the UK.

http://www.wingsforlove.net/

http://www.white-flight-doves.co.uk

You could also contact the American Dove Association at http://doveline.com. They have been very helpful to me in the past and may have a contact for you in the UK. Just click on their Links page for contact info.
