I have a new book coming soon, 256 pages! It is published by Magic Smith. There is a coin routine inside that I am presently mastering.
The premise is a production of three coins at the finger tips, but as you produce them you are making them vanish, so at the third production all have vanished. The method could be applied to any longer three coin effect, or for any coin effect. I would welcome any comments or ideas. Jim

The way I read this, you produce a coin, and vanish it three times. What am I missing?
Do the first two coins persist in view until the third coin appears? Or do all three coins appear at once, and disappear at once? I grew up in the hey-day of television and with ADD, and a host other afflictions (read that: I am bringing out all my convenient excuses), I am a far more visual learner than a reading learner. So I am sure that I missed something. So how does this routine go? BroDavid

Jim, I was at MagicSmith a month ago or so, and Chris let me quickly look at the book.
I didn't read any of the handlings, and I don't remember the effects, but I do remember thinking that I will buy this one when it comes out. When is it due?

I really liked your previous book about restaurant magic. I found it to be very helpful in doing restaurant magic and that kind of thing. I'm sure this new one should be great, too! Wish I could say the same about Afterburn, but that's a different story...

Bro David,
Sorry, let's say that you have three coins classic palmed. You produce them one at a time, via your favorite method. Each coin is visible up to the last coin, just as the last coin is produced, all the coins vanish. Ed, I don't know for sure, I am glad that you will get it, though. Corey, that sounds like I need to get you some customer service. What is up with the Afterburn? It is ok to talk here, I have nothing to hide. Jim

Hi Jim,
Everything. I really don't think it is your fault, and I hate to come to you with the problem. The lighting mechanism was dead when I received it. There wasn't anything keeping the battery from connecting, so it must of just gone dead during shipping or while sitting at the store. The black tape-like material in the wallet that keeps it from burning was in pretty bad condition...it was falling off of the wallet actually. I would've rather had the earlier model wallet, but I know you had reason to change it. I'd love to see this work. I was just in Hank Lee's yesterday and one of the guys there did a demo of it and theirs worked great. Again, sorry to bring this up here. I tried to email you but I must have had the wrong email address. Thanks. Corey
