Why do so many of the post topics read
******** versus *********

can't we just except that where all different and all like different things.Why does one thing have to be better than another?

In most cases it both are equal or can be with the right handling/ presentation and in right performers hands.

I think the headings might be better put

******* or ******** which suits you best

End of mini rant!

I agree! But I was confused at first with "verses" because I thought you were talking about song! But yes, "versus" threads tends to disenegrate into negativity...

The Blind Men and the Magicians

With apologies to John Godfrey Saxe

It was six men O’ Vegas
To learning much inclined,
Who went to see what magic was
(Though all of them were blind),
That each by observation
Might satisfy his mind.

The First went to the Monte Carlo,
And happening to see
The classic work of Lance Burton,
At once cried out with glee:
"God bless me! but the Magician
Is suave and quite classy!

The Second, to Penn & Teller went
Cried, "Ho! what have we here,
These two are geeks and con men!
To me `tis mighty clear
These guys who are Magicians
Are people I should fear!"

The Third at the Mirage he saw;
Seigfreid and Roy’s big show.
The spectacle appeared quite grand,
From his seat in the first row:
"I see," quoth he, "The Magician
Must have big cats in tow!"

The Fourth to Melinda’s act he went,
It is all he could afford:
"I know what this Magician thing is”
He said though he was bored;
"'Tis clear enough the Magician
Is someone to be adored!"

The Fifth, who went to Copperfield,
Said: "E'en the blindest man
Can tell what these Magicians are;
Deny the fact who can,
This marvel of an Magician
Does tricks with smoke and fan!"

The Sixth went to see Jeff McBride
Do tricks with rings and rope,
And playing cards and mystic things
All fell within his scope.
"I see," quoth he, "the Magician,
Performs to give us hope!"

And so these men of Vegas land
Disputed loud and long,
Each in his own opinion
Exceeding stiff and strong,
Though each was partly in the right,
And all were in the wrong!

For Magic is a splendid thing
It’s neither that nor this.
For the world is big and full of folk
Who’ll watch a show in bliss.
While others only go to figure out
The secrets of the tricks.

So let those who just do tricks;
Perform along the side;
Of those who make us all believe;
In Magic carpet rides.
There’s room enough for all you see;
And no reason to be snide.
"America's Foremost Satirical Magician" -- Jeff McBride.

But how else will we know who is the best magician now? Who the next best magicians will be? Who the best magicians were? This is really important!

Er, okay, maybe not. Smile
Drat, that was Pepsi.
