One Question. Why???
“Indubitably, Magic is one of the subtlest and most difficult of the sciences and arts. There is more opportunity for errors of comprehension, judgment and practice than in any other branch of physics”. William S. Burroughs 1914-1997 American Writer

I suggest you stop trying to do all the acts badly and start learning how to ENTERTAIN your audience.
Right now, it seems as though the show you want to frame is going to be really bad, as it will seem you are saying "see what I can do..." Slow down, learn a couple of acts at a time, and learn to be entertaining. jennieprice |

I am taking a theatre class soon, hopefully that will help with learning my stage performance, not just learning the acts but how to put them to good and entertaining use on the stage.

Contact Joe "Mr." Lifto in Austin, Texas. He was the one who brought that act to recent popularity.

A torn NIPPLE!? Is it all the way out, or just minorly riped at the base or inner part of the nipple?

Nippulini has a website. I don't know the details, only that it was an accident. He holds at least one Guiness record

Dear All,
Here is his recent message: Date: Sun, 19 Sep 2004 02:22:45 -0000 Subject: [sideshows] A message to all from the Great Nippulini This is my official message to everybody here in the sideshow community, performers, show owners, website managers, fans friends and family. As of today, Saturday September 18th I am out of commission in the sideshow business. Due to unforseen circumstances I will be unable to continue my performance specialty. Last night was my last show. Having had my career for over 6 years I included audience participation (as most of us do) and held a certain trust in the general public. I now find that this practice is NOT a good idea. Due to an audience member being "stagestruck" and NOT paying attention to my direction I have suffered a devastating injury that will require an enormous amount of time to recover from. Hopefully I will be back in sideshow, possibly in a diminished capacity, but nonetheless I do hope to return. The physical wound is nothing compared to the emotional and spirit breaking impact that this has effected me. I will continue to maintain my website as a tribute to my career. I felt the need to let everyone in this community know what has happened, as I feel you are my sideshow family and close friends... closer than anyone else in my life. I am not happy about this situation, but I do have a sense of satisfaction knowing that I have acheived and accomplished many of the goals I set for myself. I still remain the only person in the world to have pulled a vehicle by nipple piercings, I have acheived Guinness World Record status, I have lifted amazing amounts of weight, created new and hybdridic stunts and even picked up little Dragonfly with my pierces. In closing, I ask all performers to choose against utilizing the general public in assisting any dangerous stunt. These people are NOT prepared nor aware of the repercussions that can happen while we do these stunts. Yours truly, The Great Nippulini ___________ Let's all wish him the best! Yours, Paul |

Hey everybody. I was just Googling my name and this thread came up, so I felt the need to say something. First of all, Mr. Joe Lifto also had an accident that put him out of performing and no, he did not invent this stunt. Second, this is not a trick. Yes, some people have resorted to the use of gaffed props to give the illusion of heavy objects being lifted and no, I have never done that. Last, my accident was a major setback but not enough to make me leave the limelight. I have since repaired the damage and am having my first comeback show this Saturday night (1/22/05) as part of a "Great Nippulini Comeback Tour". My Guinness record stands and I have been published in the 2005 book (nobody told me... I found out by buying a copy and suddenly saw my name! Go figure!). The Guinness people wanted to fly me out to break my record for that show in September but I guess they went with the tongue guy. By the way, what is 11 kg? My nipple lift was 21.9 kg which is 48.3 pounds. I'm not too keen on metric conversion. I have a date set for another Guinness attempt for the Heaviest Automobile Pulled by Nipple Piercings. I have towed cars on 7 separate occasions, the heaviest being over 2,000 pounds. Pierced wieghtlifting is serious stuff and apparently can leave you with permanent injury, damaged skin, scars, and the worst: a bruised ego and injured spirit. I like this forum... specifically the sideshow related threads. Expect to see me here often!

Hi Nips, good to see you back mate How are you doing!
The 11kg lift on the Guinness show was a joke, Martin can do that without breaking a sweat, as I am sure you can too. My ears are just about ready, but that's as far as I am going with it. Good luck with the come back, make sure to let me know how it goes. Cheers David Straitjacket

Hey David,
Good to hear from you. The comeback show scheduled for tonight is cancelled due to heavy snowfall in our region, we should be getting over 12 inches today. I did a practice run in my cellar the other day, and I lifted everything up to and including the 30 pound anvil and the 35 pound cylinder head..... from only ONE NIPPLE!!!! My repaired nip is still out of commision until Spring, but due to it's deeper placement my lifting abilities may even far surpass anything I've done before. Do I hear a 100 pound lift coming in the near future? I will keep everyone posted. TGN

Sorry about your accident. Just to clarify, I did not claim Lifto invented the stunt, only that he brought it to popularity - which is definately true here in the States. Before the Lallapolooza/Nine Inch Nails connection with Jim Rose, no one over here had seen anything like that, at least not in any way that it would have enterted most people's thoughts. SInce Joe is such a nice guy, I thought having someone interested in duplicating what he does contact him would be the best way to go about getting info. Did not mean to step on any toes.

Hey there Nippulini,
I was really sorry to hear about the accident. It certainly made me begin to reconsider allowing my audience members remove the blade when I sword swallow. So can we expect to see you at the Gathering again this year in Wilkes-Barre? I sure hope so! Anyway, keep us all up to date. By the way, how's that old cut-up Red doin'?! |

Nipp, I'm still happy as all hell about you being back in the show. Personially I'm still having trouble with mine healing (I'm a slow healer, it was done about a year ago, but I'm really clumbsy)

Wow, thanks a lot guys... it's really nice to know how many people out there are so supportive. You will DEFINITLEY see me at the Gathering, even if I couldn't perform. Another clarification: Truthteller, I was in no way trying to get into a nipple argument here, it's just that in this line of work some people tend to give too much credit to people for what's not really theirs. My true inspiration for pushing my limits with my nipples comes from a guy named Rasmus Nielsen who performed sideshow circuits across America during the early 1920's to the mid 1950's, way before the Lollapalooza's of today. Rasmus would do lifts of over 250 POUNDS!! Before Rasmus, a fellow by the name of "Capt. Ringman" did some crazy stuff with his nipples, lifting giant brass bells with them, suspending himself by them, even put a tree branch through them. The history is there, don't assume otherwise. Too many people are ingorant of the fact that just because somebody made an old stunt popular today, it doesn't necessarily make that person responsible for making it what it is now. A wise man said to me once "There is no such thing as an orignal thought, what you may think is fresh and new is simply ancient knowledge reborn".
