More questions.

So who are you with this die?

Are you a bizarrist who got the dice the gambler died with and found them to be haunted?

Are you a magician who bought this trick in an old magic shop in an odd part of town? Maybe you went back a few days later and the shop wasn't there...not even the building...

Are you a dabbler in dark things or a fun kind of guy who got this haunted thing by mistake?

It's hard for us to guide you because we don't know who you are. How does your performing character come across? Ask other people. If you were being cast in a play, would you be the romantic lead, his dependable sidekick, the crusty old man, the reasonable guy who tries to solve the conflict, the villain, the comic relief?

When you know what role you can play, then we pick a theme. Maybe the die is haunted, maybe you picked up a J.B. Rhine book on parapsychology, maybe (as suggested) you got it in a Monopoly set at a garage sale. Again, read Magic and Showmanship by Henning Nelms. What's the theme here?

Once you make these hard choices the rest is easy.

Yours,

Paul

I don´t think that creativity or ideas come out of the blue. If you want to reach a good level of creativity you must be persistent and really believe that the good idea is around the corner.

Creativity comes from different levels. On the level of thought you need to expose yourself to many ideas in the realm of your interest. On the level of action you have to try and try again to learn from experience. On the level of emotions you have to explore a multidude of emotions and responses to your magic. On the level of relations you have to exchange ideas with other people. Much creativity comes out in a dialogue with other creative people. On the level of structure you need to find a system for yourself how to work.

If you understand and apply this concept I think you will be able enhance your creativity.
