Hey, I haven't got a chance to pick up Richards video on the pass yet...(by the way..what are some other good videosbooks on the pass") but I was wonding if someone could tell me what the effect of the midnight shift is, what does it look like?

is it just a standard pass, but with the deck face up???

Get Steve Draun's book "Secrets Draun from the Underground".It teaches the Midnight Shift.Thats where I learned it.I've heard it's taught on Kuafman's pass video also. It's very natural looking. Smile

If it's any help, here's what it looks like:

The deck is held from above by the right hand, the grip is more toward the right corners, showing more of the top of the deck. The left hand gently holds the deck from below, thumb along the top edge (the deck is held somewhat upright with its right edge being more toward the ground). The left hand then takes the deck and rotates it end for end toward you, so that the left fingers become uppermost, and the right hand regrips the deck from above. In this action, the pass is completed.
