I had a great show today... everything went just perfectly. I did some metal bending (á la Banachek's PK Silverware), and the reactions were awesome. Do you ever think, "Are they serious?" when your audience makes strange assumptions about what you're doing? Today when I was bending the forks, one spectator complained that I was stealing her energy (hmm... she suddenly felt a bit weak?). It was great, though; I guess it added to the effect. It was just a little strange-- but flattering at the same time. The bends must have been very convincing for her to make that claim!

Yes, it has happened.
I did Bob Mason's Marka-Thot at a psychic party, and the hostess (who was the volunteer) asked, "Did I really do that, or WERE YOU PSYCHICALLY GUIDING ME?" Steve

Oh, and another one:
I did the prediction chest at a shopping mall, and afterward a merchant who was a member of a psychic self-help society wanted me to lecture for her group to discuss my 'gift.' I genially declined. Steve

Haha! That's awesome-- I think it's great when they believe to that extent.

Lol
I love being taken realy seriously. I used to do shed loads of pk stuff. I can remember I once stopped my teachers watch at school and he seriously freaked as I had not tol him I wasa performer. He removed the wall clock and challenged me to repeat the effect witht that so I did. I then did a drawing dupe on him and he didn't speak to me for a while, untill I told him I was a magician.
One day I will write a book
