Hi folks,
Forgive me if this question has already been asked. I was on Doc Eason's website and it stated that The Tower was closed. Does anyone know any specifics, such as whether the reason was just slow business or if something else may have happened? The way the place was spoken of gave me the impression that it was quite successful. I had hoped to visit there some day. Thanks in advance for any info. Best, Doug |

They had been keeping it open after John's death.

The Tower closed in April of this year. Doc was looking for a new venue and is traveling quite a bit. Email him, he is wonderful.

That is another loss. John Denver (under his real name) and I went to junior high school together at Bellingrath in Alabama in the 1950s. We remained friends for many years. Back then I was a stage (for Paramount) and studio musician and later an agent and personal manager until I sold out in 1967. For "nerds" we did OK. I have missed him. He had the gift of elegance hidden in its plainest form.
