Can we put the "squeeze" on Mr. Nielsen to make the squeeze-type ketchup bottles? I noticed yesterday that the restaurant I went to had them out on the tables rather than the glass bottles; glass bottles are vanishing in more ways than one!
Besides, the squeeze bottle actually looks more like vinyl than glass ... I suspect if we show that we'll buy 'em, they'll be made. I'd like to see them in Hunt's bottles; I'm getting a little tired of Heinz these days ... although the idea of making Heinz vanish is appealing! Also, I would like to see other squeeze bottle produced (ah, the puns!), such as Hershey's chocolate syrup, salad dressings, and the like. |

Starrpower, while most restaurants use Heinz bottles, they don't use Heinz ketchup. They put cheap canned ketchup in the bottles, and reuse them, even though the bottle clearly states that they are not for resale.

I still see the glass bottles in many restaurants around my area. Plus, I like the idea af vanishing glass better than plastic.
I don't mind if Norm makes the new plastic type bottles, if that's what people want, but I sure hope he keeps making the glass type too, as long as some can be found somwhere. Someday, we may be left with only the vanishing ketchup packet as a close-up effect because ketchup bottles in restaurants truly are vanishing. Regan

Hi, Shane, if a restaurant is really doing that you can report them because it is illegal!
Anyway, I suggested to Norm a while ago to produce an alcopop style bottle, like a bacardi breezer bottle these are very common and are available everywhere, but they can't be made without enough interest. Maybe we should start a petition for one? As everyone knows these are expensive to produce, taking into account the design and molds etc. So if people are interested maybe you can reply to this post, then when we have loads we can get in touch with Mr. Nielson and draw his attention to this thread. anyone else interested in this style bottle? Personnally, I prefer to use the beer bottle than the ketchup one. It is more versatile and more funny than a ketchup bottle. Plus, it gonna takes a long time before to see budweiser bottle changes.

There are a lot of glass bottles used in southern states like North Carolina. Almost everywhere in Florida uses plastic. I don't know why this is though.

I don't think that the Bud bottle will go over too well at kidshows, unless it is part of an anti-alcohol/drug routine.

They are quite easy to make, I'm not going into detail but I have made one my self.

Sorry to dig this up...
But I see glass bottles ALL the time. I live in Canada, I see a good mix of a ton of different ones. I see glass bottles about, 70% of the time. I just got a new bottle actually

Before everyone gets too deeply involved in this subject, you can check here-

A year ago I saw glass bottles every where in PA, but they are quickly becoming extinct. The squeeze bottle would be a great addition since I have a time travel routine built around ketchup and tomatoes.

At the very least, I would LOVE for Nielsen Magic to update his ketchup bottle labels to the new design and font...Just a thought.

I'm dying to see a time travel routine built around ketchp and tomatoes! I can't even begin to imagine how this would unfold.

Here's a nice way to add extra oomph! to your ketchup vanish......In some pound stores, and many party shops, you can now buy "confetti bursts". These are small plastic bags containing a small amount of confetti. The bags are inflatable, with an automatic seal valve. simply inflate one and stuff it into your Nielsen bottle (most fit perfectly into the ketchup). When you're ready to vanish the bottle, hold it upside-down in the paper bag, and smack the bag hard (I find it's important to check that the confetti burst is placed correctly (if you try this out, you'll see what I mean). Not only does the bottle vanish, but you get a plume of confetti, that makes it look like the bag really WAS empty, and just full of confetti. It nearly always makes the audience gasp, and guarantees a round of applause. I love that in a self-working trick!

No one will or at least should do this until you've posted some material and it is clear that you are not just trolling for secrets. Methods are the life skeleton of the magicians craft. Asking something like you have is somewhat inappropriate for a first post and may lead people to keep a wary eye for awhile.
