Okay, now you've got me interested in this new Monte 3.0. But I have a question. I read that going to the pocket is necessary, but would I be able to use a pants pocket instead of a shirt pocket?

In my oppinon a jacket pocket is the best, unless you have very wide pants pockets.

Absolutely has my highest endorsement. I was looking for ways of doing a monte (Skinner Version as my favorite gaff version) for strolling situations with no table. I wholeheartedly agree with Peo....Monte 3.0 is perfect for the strolling magician.

I usually use the outer breast pocket of my sport coat, however to answer your question wulfie, I did do it the other night at a Casino Night Party while working in tux pants and tux shirt with cumberbund. I used my pants pocket and tucked the one card in my cumberbund since the lady had nowhere (without getting slapped) to put the third card. (She was wearing a skimpy spaghetti strap dress). Gordon suggests tucking under a guys lapel or a lady's pocket.

Highly recommended.............

Thanks to everyone for the kind words. It's always a thrill to hear that one's tricks are being performed.
I especially loved hearing about Michael D's use of the cummerbund. Thought I'd pass along the fact that I now use a little bit of smoke at the end. Instead of jumping into showing all the aces at the end, I (A) use one of the face-down unchosen cards to flip over the spectator's choice, (B) turn the spectator's choice face down to sequentially flip over both unchosen cards, and finally (C) turn all three face up and deal them into the spectator's palm. Apart from building up the final revelation of the aces, this makes sure that there is even less heat on the pocket (the use of which is already pretty much psychologically invisible).
