I have been using TOny Clark's Return flight training program for a while. I have not getting a lot of results. I have tried two different birds and still nothing any different methods?

Ben, how long is awhile? You shouldn't expect return results all the time for about 6 weeks. Also, some birds will never return. You have to experiment until you find a match.

At 2 weeks, your birds should just be getting used to flying from one hand to another. It's too soon to expect them to do the return. When I train my birds, I continue the hand to hand until they jump on their own and don't have to be tossed. They recognized the other hand and are comfortable with it. Then I start the toss out and return training. Sometimes I can do this in 6 weeks, other times it takes a little longer. I have one bird that started the return all on it's own, no training required but that's an exception.

Ditto Dave. I just tossed her out for the fun of it and she came right back. It's luck like that, that makes our lives easier

Perhaps you could start by feeding them in your hands. It takes a lot of patience. No feeds in the cage. Just in your hand. Many years ago, I placed a rubber hand inside the cage and placed feeds on it. That made my doves more confident of my hands aside from feeding them with my own hands.
