Hey all, I was wondering if anyone could tell me what they think of the 6 volume Ken Krenzel Video Series(including card classics and the pass video). Which volume or volumess would you most recommend for someone interested in card magic? Also what is the difficulty level of these videos? Thanks a lot.

He's tough to watch. He looks like Spock and Krskin had a love child togetehr. Very odd duck, indeed. His personality si that of an oddball.

The material on the whole series is great, but not for a beginner. You'll find a few gems if your a real card enthusiast. Also a few cool coin ideas, one of which I used to use all the time, is a slow motion coin vanish that uses a pencil.
The card work is what really makes the series though. Krenzel's style is very apparent: slow and deliberate. You can burn the deck and still be amazed.

There is a wealth of original material in these tapes. The card sleights are intermediate to advanced. The coin work is pretty clever although his multiple coin vanish won't fool too many people at least the way he performed it. His Mechanical Reverse and Passes are very well done. I agree he is tough to watch since he is very dry and pedantic in his delivery and explanations. However he has contributed a great deal to magic and should be respected for that.

I think it is also important to note that Mr. Krenzel states (on Vol. 1 I think) that he is teaching techniques only and he refers the viewer elsewhere for routine ideas. In this sense, he teaches very well I think and much can be gained.
