Well, it’s time to salivate… Paolo & Massimo have come up with another e-book that is full of ideas that will stun your audiences and make you ponder, “Why didn’t I think of that?”
This new e-book is called OMICRON and you can order it through my Paypal site at: greg@wizmicro.com Because of the fantastic ideas within and the calls from many in the mentalist community to see more from these two, but to try to sell it closer to it’s value, OMICRON will be selling for $50… although the first effect in the book has been valued at a much higher price. Also, many that missed the first book, UPSILON, having been trying to get their hands on a copy. This team will also be re-releasing UPSILON, but at a higher price, too… $50… you see what happens when you wait to pick up a great book on mentalism. Paolo & Massimo are doing a special deal for someone that wants to buy the two books at the same time… if you buy both UPSILON & OMICRON at the same time you can get them for $90 instead of $100 and save yourself ten bucks that way. But wait, you’re saying, “What’s in this?” “Why should I get it?” “Who has already seen it?” Here are just a few of the quotes & reviews that have been given about these books: "Paolo & Massimo are once again putting out stuff that is too good to be out there. The first effect in the book, CHAIRVELOPES, is a big winner and will find it's place in many of the mentalists' acts out there... I know I'm already thinking about it. WOOK is a weird and wonderful book test. EQUINOX is a great worker deck to do an impossible card divination... and it's divined by the spectator! PKOIN will have all the metal benders damaging more coins to prove their psychic abilities. But, as usual, that would be enough for one book, but this team gives you other countless ideas that range from Tarot cards to a two-person code idea to incredible out-of-the-box thinking with Lee Earle's Silver Bullet concept. These two guys are becoming the new Becker & Earle team... get ready to add some more weapons to your mentalist arsenal." -- Greg Arce “Upsilon is a journey into the center of the minds of Paolo Cavalli, Massimo Tira and your audience. Using several techniques, some of which you may already be familiar with, Paulo and Massimo teach you new ways of thinking and new applications of them. This is an excellent book and definitely worth the reading and the effort. I learned several new ways of applying and handling material that I was already familiar with. I'm glad I read the book. It's a keeper!” -- Bill Palmer "It's a very different routine! A Chair Prediction + Bank Night effect artfully blended together. Two of the favorite openers of most mentalists turned into one! I would have sold it separately and not having included it in the book." -- Working Pro (name withheld) "Paolo, now that's some powerful Hoodoo... I read the effect three times before I read the method - you had me fooled! You always read of people saying "...this one effect is worth the price of the manuscript." In this case its the truth... If this is the first of the effects in the manuscript. I can't wait to see the rest.... Top stuff!" – Peter Arcane "I thought the book was a great idea generator. You definitely put your own sneaky twist on the material you create. Keep it up. Mentalists can use creativity such as yours. Even us old guys." --LARRY BECKER “Paolo and Massimo, congratulations. This is a work that will be talked about in the future, for sure. That's a prediction I'm confident in making. “—Zach Allen “I just finished working a few of the effects from your book and think Larry Becker hit it right on the head. After reading it I almost instantly saw a place for some of the items in my work, and they made me want to add them a few twists here and there and I have some new material I am keen to break in. It contains some wonderful thinking. I very, very much enjoyed the book and it has left me with ideas spinning in my head... “ – Luke Jermay Okay, there you have it. Now I know Paolo will only be offering this a limited time and only limited quantities will be sold so don’t miss out. I love this stuff! So any orders, whether just for OMICRON or the combine set which includes UPSILON, should be sent via PayPal to: greg@wizmicro.com As soon as the PayPal contacts me with your order I will send it to Paolo and he will email you the file. I know you will find some great ideas within these books. Remember, each sell for $50 or purchase both for $90 total. Greg Arce

Gentlemen, thank you for the orders coming in, they are much appreciated.
Because most of us are located in various parts of the world, if it happens then when you are going to order the book, here (where I'm now) is late night, allow some 12 hours or so for my sending of the book. If, instead, I'm at my PC when you're ordering, you will usually get the book in minutes. Thank you! Paolo Cavalli P.S: Thomas (Phantomas) , Sean Fields, Zach Allen, please PM me or send me a valid e-mail for the book.
Then you'll rise right before my eyes, on wings that fill the sky, like a phoenix rising!

Please, be aware that when you order the bundle offer (both books) you will get an attachment of about 3MB in size (+ some more KB added by the software, during the sending).
Thus, if any one of you is experiencing problems with that, let me know and I, as soon as possible, will send you the books in 2 separate mails. Paolo Cavalli

Paolo, this might be one of those times where some people don't want to tell others about it so that the secret stays a bit more secure.
I know when reading Chairvelopes I thought, "Okay, this should stay tight... it doesn't need to be given out." Sometimes giving out good effects causes people to be a little tight lipped about letting others know about it. Hey, if I win the lottery tonight I'll just pay you for all your copies and that way less people will have it. Greg

Paolo,
So far I have only gotten to read one Excellent routine, Chairvelopes! I will say that I am looking forward to reading the rest of it after reading Upsilon and Chairvelopes, but your stuff is not the kind of stuff I just want to skim through! I want to spend some time thinking about the material or maybe I should say thinking through the material! I haven't even finished Greg's book Deep Thought yet -- sorry Greg, I'm getting to it (but what I've read I like)! What I can say is -- get it while you can! Greg is right about Chairvelopes, it is worth the price of the book on its own! Sixx |

When I saw that Paolo and Massimo had a new book out I imediately rushed in to buy it! Why? When two well known european full time working pros join together to write a book, it must be good. Just check Upsilon, everybody who read that book loves it. Their thinking is brilliant. So I already knew what to expect when I bought OMICRON. On with the review:
"Chairvelopes" description: 3 audience members (2 men, one woman) are invited on stage and have the complete free choice (NO forces) on 4 colored chairs. One is left empty. After that, they have the FREE CHOICE (NO forces) on 3 envelopes. One is left for the performer. The mentalist correctly guesses which chair is left empty, which chair the lady sat down, and keeps the 100$ that were on the remaining envelope! My comments: I've seen several versions of the "Chair Routine", and this is definetely one of the best. Many performers use OR have used this routine as an opener: Banachek, Gary Kurtz, Luke Jermay, Berglas. By reading Paolo's description of this effect, is perfectly obvious that he researched it all the other versions available, and created a better one! Like the ad says, it's the two favourite openers of most mentalists turned into one. You'll get the audience on your side right from the start using that suprise ending they devised! This is the perfect opener for any mental show. It uses no pre-show or stooges, unlike other colored chairs versions. It's almost self working, you can totally focus on the presentation. Definetely worth the price of the book!! "Wook" description: Two spectators are called on stage, one of them is thinking on a word completely unknown to the performer. Another chooses a book from a pile (free choice), opens it anywhere, thinks of a word. Both of them are thinking in the exact same word! My comments: This is the favourite plot of most mentalists, a spectator reading another spectators mind! I liked this a lot, it's definetely much better than using a simple booktest. It uses an old concept that is perfect for this effect. For those who still use booktests, you can consider changing your presentation a bit. Just like Paolo did. "Equinox" description: A different stacked deck. My comments: With all honestly, I'm not a card man. I never use playing cards so I skipped this section at the first moment I saw a playing card mentioned. When I finished reading the book, I got back to it and read the whole thing. I'm glad I did! I imediately seen all the possibilities of this deck using a tarot pack! Yes, you can use it for tarot or playing cards. You can use it for a compatibility test, "you do as I do" routine, etc....it has unlimited possibilities. "PKOIN" description: A borrowed coin is signed on both sides...the mentalist bents it My comments: Massimo have used this routine for a long time ago, and I'm glad he shared it, Paolo of course added his own version, and it was a touch of genius It's a very clean and simple bent. I'm sure it will have a place in many repertoires. "Miscellanea" comments: This section has 5 different effects. Some of them were taken from a very limited and out of print edition of a book by Massimo only distributed in trusted sources (I never read it). I'm glad that he decided to share these with the rest of the mortals My favourite has to be "Remote Viewing of Some Kind". It's fantastic thinking and can even be done impromptu if you have that secret something. Can be presented as a test of remote viewing, telepathy or clairvoyance. This effect went straight to my repertoire. You are genuinely blindfolded (someone can have his hands over your eyes), 5 people concentrate on 5 ESP symbols, they silenty decide which one is the "transmitter" and they all put their simbols sandwiched in their hands. You eliminate all four the non-selected symbols, and find the person who is holding the chosen one. In this section you have a completey impromptu booktest, a tarot deck effect, a two person code and a living and death test. All from the creative mind of Massimo. In Conclusion: I know this book is not exactly one of the cheapest, but I can tell you it worths every penny. With the proliferation of low quality ebooks, it's good to have one of this gems for a change. How much would you pay for a sure-fire opener for your show? I know I'm performing at least 3 effects from this book, and for me it's more than enough to be worth the price. Since OMICRON is also a limited edition, I would advise to buy it before it sells out. Then Chairvelopes and all the other wonderful routines will be out of reach forever |

The REAL question is what is the material worth. Well, it was worth $50.00 to Paolo to release his brainchildren to the mentalism/magic world, and it was worth that same $50.00 to me to purchase it. Even more important to me, it was worth the several valuable hours it took to read the whole book from beginning to end when I could have been getting rest or preparing for the testing I had earlier this afternoon.
That is how I measure its worth. Believe me when I say that I will NOT invest my valuable time to read an entire book in one sitting unless it is exceptional. I can think of only a few magic related books I have done this with. Mentalism Inc., Maximum Entertainment, Deep Thoughts, and Omicron are the only four I can think of at this time. I'm just going to comment on one of the effects in the book right now, which is Chairvelopes. I'll get to the rest eventually, but as I'm not on my home computer at the moment, I don't have the file and therefore don't want to overlook anything.
First of all, I don't do mentalism. I'm a magician, I'm billed as thus, and everyone who knows me knows me as a magician. That being said, I liked this book. Chairvelopes is an excellent routine. As I was reading through it, the inner dialogue in my head went something along the lines of, "That's cool...that's really cool...there's more cool things here?" The routining of the effects is superb, and the effect builds and builds. It is something that I will perform at some time. There's not much else I can say other than if this type of a routine appeals to you, I really don't think you can go wrong with it. More to come later... Zach

If Paolo had decided to buy all the props needed for Chairvelopes and then package them all up and sell it as a complete effect, well I'm sure he could have sold it for more than $50. Instead of that you are not only getting this brilliant routine, but many others with the ebook. This is a worker routine. Something that can be the hit of any show. As a matter of fact it's so strong and it's considered an opener so you better be ready to back up the rest of your show with killer material. But anyway, it's an open market... no one is forcing you to buy anything. Believe me when I tell you this, there are a lot of other items & manuscripts out there that sell for much more, but are kept "underground" as it were. They sell them high and privately because they want very few performers getting their gems and doing them. Be happy that Paolo has at least given you the opportunity to look at his jewels... yeah, I know, that can be taken two ways.. Greg

Well said Greg. The working performer knows that a good and solid routine means big money to him as a result and so $50 are little or nothing to him.

Alright, I just finished reading my copy of OMICRON, and while I will not do a full in-depth review of each effect (as Sariel has done a splendid job on this already), I will give my thoughts on the book as a whole, and perhaps a few effects in particular.
Chairvelopes has already been discussed to death here, and for good reason, the effect is simply stellar! There is a few things happening here, and under normal circumstances, I feel that this convolutes an effect, but that is not the case here. Each effect is clear and logical. This very well could be the highlight of the book. Another effect that I really liked was PKoin. The effect is simple, a twice signed coin is bent. The effect is dirt simple, there isn't much new and exciting here in the actual workings of the effect. What IS exciting, are the subtleties that are worked in. It is this little things that make this routine a miracle. Well worth any PK'ers attention. There is so much more here than the two effects I have highlighted. The ideas within this book are well worth the asking price. Take my word for it, and get this book while you can, you will not be dissapointed. Or don't take my word for it, there will just be fewer of us performing Chairvelopes. Sean |

Is there any plans to put them both out in soft cover in addition to the ebook? Osterlind is doing it. Some of us prefer them to ebooks.

Lee, I can understand some people would prefer "ink & paper" stuff
Actually, UPSILON made a *very brief* appearance as a spiralbound printed edition, but it has ended. OMICRON is not planned to be released as a printed version at all, at least for now. Thank you for your interest. Paolo Cavalli

How does the Chairvelopes routine differ from Luke Jermays, which is a chair prediction blended with a bank nite. From you that has seen/read both, whats your opinion? Which is the strongest one?
