Where is the best place to get tarot cards with the largest selection of styles?
I have never bought any before, so some help would be appreciated. Best.

I'll ditto the good Doctor on US Games, and add that Amazon.com's marketplace section is a often great place to find some bargains.
Don't spend a lot of your hard-earned cash until you've handled a good number of decks. The variety of card sizes, artwork styles, and other factors make it unusual to find a good fit on the first try - or even the first few. Happy shopping... |

Perhaps not the biggest, but a fun place to look through.

The Tarot Garden has a massive and historical collection on line at reasonable prices, announces and takes orders on new or reissues at a discount -- and can supply in bulk.
I have purchased the decks for The Newe Amsterdam Tarocchi Diary from them -- and some 70 other decks I use.

I agree that you should have a chance to handle, or see them in person if possible. Consider the use to which you will put them. I found one deck very easy to set up for a card stab.
Another deck is too big for me to handle easily for any sort of smooth looking work at a table (I do NOT do manipulation). Though should you desire cards sized to make flourishes with, there are some that will work well. I do suggest that you can take a look at the local B&N, the one where I live has a number of decks in a case so you can see them, and get a better idea of the size and shapes (anything from square to round these days) The matter of whom or where to buy from is covered above. I know Tory would welcome the business, but do try to find someplace you can see them in person and possible handle. If there is no "New Age" shop where you live, then I would hunt up the nearest Barnes and Noble type store for a look see. In the UK, do look into The Blackhart and his site: http://www.blackhart.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/

I have purchased several old and out of print decks on eBay. This is, IMNSHO the best place to pick up either and older deck or a deck cheaply enough that you don't mind experimenting with it, or out and out trashing it.

I've seen tarot cards at book stores. Most larger book stores should have them. Check out your local Barnes and Noble or your local Borders. Gerard

I agree with those suggesting E bay. Many of the sellers post a picture of the deck being sold which should help you out. I also check garage and estate sales along with flea markets and have gotten some really good deals.
