Which hand do you use for what purposes?
I'm RIGHT handed, but I use my LEFT hand for: Charliers, Hot Shot, Jordini Top Shot, Triple Cut, Triple Triple Cut, One Handed Riffle Shuffle, One Handed Revolution and any other one handed cut. I use my RIGHT hand for: Backpalming, One Handed Top Palm, Card Scaling, Springing, Cobra, Waterfalls, Fanning, Tenkai palming, Rolling Coins, and Rolling Billiard Balls. I always found it interesting that certain hands could do things better than others, regardless of which is dominant. I'd like to know what your hands do... |

Same as you, except that I work (little by little) the Cobra with my left hand.

I'm left-handed so I do most stuff with my left but some I do with my right but not much.

When you learn certain XCM/flourishes, you should learn with your weak hand, so if you are right handed like most people are in the world, you would have to learn things with your left hand first. Once you get a flourish down with your left hand, then it will be easy to "teach" it per say to the right hand. To do many XCM/flourishes, it's preffered to be ambidexterous with all of them, or to have them down with both hands basically.

I'm right handed and here's what I can do..
My left hand: holds the deck in mechanics grip, does charliers, one handed revolution, Karl's Clutched Cobra, stretch cut, charlier shot cut, triple cut, bullet deal, triangle tower, 1/2 deck shot and many other things on sleights like the bottom palm. My right hand: holds the deck in biddle grip, does one handed fans, fans the cards, does a tenkai palm, does a back palm, dribbles, springs, coin rolls, arm spreads, long distance spinners and many other card sleights. Both of my hands: do the sybils, fans, butterfly cuts and other flourishes requiring two hands. :bigdance: |

I use both hand for everything I do, if I can't do it in two hands I wont say I can do that flourish/XCM move.

Being ambidextrous is an advantage, not an asset. You can still be a good xtreme card manipulator and perform shows without total 100% ambidexterity.
True meaning of ambidexterity IMHO is -> You can do two DIFFERENT flourish one in each hand. Doing TWO charliers or two same flourish is not really the true meaning yet. |

I am just starting with flourishes...I use my right hand as of now but I will start to learn the tricks with my left hand once I mastered in my right.

I know it's not an asset but it's my goal. I am not totally ambidextrous with cards, but I have a combo with coinroll in one hand, and other hand some airial cuts. I like that but it's hard.

I use both hands for everything. I'm left handed, but my left hand is a bit weaker than my right hand. Kinda strange.

I'm right handed, but, I use my left hand to do most flourishes, charlier cut, 7-layer cut, one handed fan, top shot, hot shot..so on. For some reason, I can't do a charlier cut or coin roll with my right hand, but find no problems doing it with my left. Definitely strange...

I think the 7 layer cut is in one of the Apocalypse books. I am not sure which one though.

I armpsread mainly on my right arm, but can do left easily as well. It's weird though, because its more comfortabletp backpalm, produce etc with right hand any doctors out there to offer a scientific explanation? |
