Hello all,
I started performing magic at age 5. It was a true passion. I attended the conferences and lectures, read books, bought tricks, joined clubs and practiced, practiced, practiced. My first job at 12 was doing Birthday shows and church functions. Then the distractions began at 17. Like girls, cars, college and money. Now I am 32 and though I've kept magic as a hobby I would really like to get back to performing, and hopefully add to my income. The Magic Cafe is a great site and I look forward to many conversations with you all. Recomendations to help me "get back in" are appreciated. Once again, Hello Everyone!!! |

Hello Kevin,
Welcome back!! Don't worry once you start handling that deck of cards again and palming those coins there will be no stopping you. Especially since you got all those distractions out of your system. I know you you really never left magic, but get some routines together and start performing. (after you've practiced them of course). Loads of information here. Take advantage of it. David Paul

From personal experience, the second time the magic bug "bites" is the dangerous one! There is no escape that time! cheers, Peter Marucci showtimecol@aol.com |

Hi Kevin,
Ah, a kindred spirit. I walked away from magic for quite a while as well, and am enjoying my time back in the fold. Welcome! |
