Hi guys,
I just got through to the finals of a stand up comedy competition which is being run by a big radio station. First prize is $50,000 PLUS the gig as support act for some heavywieght comedians PLUS the title of Comedy god. It has been possibly the most stressful experience of my life to this point (just behind having to gnaw off my own leg after a hurricane) and the stress isn't getting any less as the competition continues. Anyway, keep me in your thoughts and I'll let you know how I do. Cheers Billy |

Thanks once again everyone for all your best wishes.
My final heat is next Thursday, Oct 14. It's just straight stand up and it is live. If I get through I will be going on the radio the following morning for some carefree witty banter with the hosts. Cheers everyone, I'll keep you posted. Billy |

Last night was a blast. My set absolutely slayed them, unfortunately so did just about everybody's. It was a tough choice for the judges, obviously so confusing that they didn't pick me :-( Awesome night in any case. Cheers Billy |

The manager of the comedy store has been in contact to tell me he loved it and to give me a list of contacts, so all's well that ends well. Mind you, I would have preferred the $50,000. |
