On his Whose Afraid Of Invisible Thread DVD Jon LeClare does a pretty funny flourish where he fans the decl for a spectator to pick a card and as he presents the fanned deck one card sticks out from the bottom of the fan and travels back and forth across the fan...

Unfortunately, this is not something that he goes on to teach on the DVD.

Is there anyplace that gives instructions for this effect?

Hey poppa, I for sure know that this is not his move thus why I'm sure he didn't teach it. I'm not exactly sure whose it is because its been around as long as I can remember. Ive been doing it for years and saw it years and years ago. I will do a little looking and see if I can get your some info. Someone else I'm sure will know so have no fear.

For some reason, I seem to think David Williamson teaches this somewhere. Possibly his book "Williamson's Wonders".

I think Syd is right. It sounds more on the right track. I was thinking either David W or Patrick page but I didn't think it was page.

Hummm...

Is it simply a control of the bottom card from a thumb fan?

If so I think I can figure it out...

Just remember to hold the bottom portion of the deck still with the hand on the same side, similar to how you use the left hand in the Marlo spread control...otherwise a bunch of other cards in addition to the bottom card will move about.

It's fun to use, sometimes people will begin going for it, and take a while to catch themselves. A slight Kentonism would be to follow it up with a genuine classic force, as they are now put off guard...theoretically =) but I think it's generally true.

Of course it's going to be in an ellusionist vid. If they can make a buck off of a neat little move, you can bet they will pirate...er I mean sell it. Them or Penguin......

Peace!

I first saw Greg Wilson do this on his "Card Stunts" tape a while back, and *** is that guy funny. He teaches it there as well, if I'm not wrong... it's in the routine where he keeps on forcing the same card. Jolly good fun Smile
