Just car about what you do, and remember you're part of a legacy who owes success to the audience. Entertain them, listen to them, and most of all, respect them... Thanks to all for reading and responding to "the notes."

I may be late, but better late than never,,,,,yes we all owe Slim a song of praise for without his like this love of ours would soon become extinct.
Accurate advice (In book form) For the stunts we pull is very rare, the dangers although real are not often put to the fore, Slim has done this and proberly saved more than one novice from a trip to A&E. Ken. |

Kondini,
That's right, remember guys, there is no something like "PenguinSideshow" like what Penguinmagic brought to the magi the ease to learn the magic.Getting to learn sideshow is something still underground (at least the real work and secret is unbeknown to most people including magi),so Slim is the guy. Keep it up, MagoStevo

I posted this under the "Strange Secrets" thread, but thought it would make more sense to put it here:
Slim, maybe I missed the answer to this somewhere else, but are your notes compiled and available somewhere? Or are we talking about the notes you've been generous enough to send to individuals asking for information?

Because of other issues the notes are only notes. If you need something specific about a sideshow act, (and some other things as well) you can just ask me...

There are far too many idiots out there, who will not realize the many dangers inherent in almost any of the sideshow acts, as well as those with proprietary interest in the methods. I wish I could share more but I still care about my fellow man! This way, I have a little control. You can glean a little of sideshow history by going to Sideshow_World and seeing The Slim Price Collection... There are other history posts there that are much more interesting than mine...

Slim's being modest.
And what he says about publishing is right. There are too many foolish people out there, and this information should not be generally available. We've recently run into a person who is proud of knowing "secrets", who says he knows the "Man Who Can't Be Hanged" act. The guy tied a noose to a swingset or something, and jumped off. He wrenched his neck. He's very lucky that he didn't get hurt worse, but he's too foolish to accept it. I expect we'll be reading his obituary soon. And whoever told him the "secrets", is partially responsible.

Now I see the point of not publishing these materials, but if we put this another way, that publishing methods (or secret)in a safer manner is better than letting those learner learn it a hard way (i hope he is okay that his obituary won't be seen in years to come).I mean a book (that's testified by pros in this business) is more reliable than someone who claim to know "secrets" and "teaching" other learner irresponsibly.
Just a thought.
