Hello Ellen!
If you like Brel, why don't you stick with the classical all known artists from the same time (different music but still more musical and profund (meaningfull) than today's commercial ****e (even though all is not crap!): Brel Brassens Cabrel Regiani Ferrat Montand Souchon Leforestier Aznavour Hallyday Dassin Nougaro And the list is not exhaustive!... Serge Gainsbourg (ALL of his song, there 2 sets of 2 CD of Gainsbard in reaggea (songs reperformed by him reaggea style and songs of his remixed... great collictible material!!!) If you want good and diverse books, I suggest the series of "Diapason Rouge" vol 1, 2, 3 Cheap and cointains the texts and cords of many well known songs (english an french)... Perfect for camping and fireplace... But I guess the young students might not like quality music... Cheers, Ludwig

Haha... yeah, we listened to Lorie in French class all the time. Very cute stuff.
Then there was that strange one that went something like, "un pour Saddam et un pour les Etas-Unis"... but I don't remember the artist's name (sounded similar to "Nutella" if memory serves me correctly). |

Thanks for your help.
My taste is cabrel. I played Jordy for them and they laughed so hard, because he is about their ages now. I will check out the others. Merci! Ellen |

Ellen,
I live in Paris. Two nights ago my wife and I saw Francis Cabrel, for the first time. What an amazing show and what an incredible musician and performer! He´s up there with the greats. José.
