A magic shop near me is selling flash paper to people under 18. I believe flash paper is regulated by the feds & I don't believe they would like the idea of selling it to minors. Does anybody know where I can find the laws regarding the sales so I can show the shop owner & prevent him from being shut down.

You can buy it at 18 legally, but if you want to use it in a major venue you need a pyro permit and liability insurance with a million dollar policy. I am running into this problem more and more with every convention that I work.

Not to mention you have to have a paid fireman on site in case anything goes wrong...

Daegs is correct. I do believe you have to have a trained firefighter on site to help monitor any situation using fire of any type.

You are lucky if you can get away with a firefighter. In some cases you need a fireman and the fire marshall.
