I wasn't aware that he was a magic fan. It turns out he is friends with Uri Geller and David Blaine. In todays Washington Post, it says the Michael Jackson recently spent $7,000 at Denny & Lee's. He does magic shows for kids at Neverland. He has also met with Siegfried and Roy to discuss how he might incoporate magic into his concerts.

Yes, David Copperfied used to do all the special effects for Jackson's show, but after the whole scandal thing Jackson was involved in Copperfield went his own way.

Yes, I was talking with some guys working at Denny & Lee's and they said Jackson had come in a few weeks ago and bought some stuff. Music/rock stars seem to be very intrested in magic and like involving it in their concerts. I like to go to some concerts that come to town, and often see many appearances and disappearances done with common magic props (large illusions of course.) I think it's pretty cool to see more than just magicians benefit from the art of magic.

Think about it, at one point or another most children are fascinated by magic. As we grow up and life's pressures weigh down on us, most people don't get to have that time to go back to what they were so fascinated with: Magic.
I find that most musicians present their music in one of two ways: Either as a "stand up and sing" type concert, or as a more "theatrical" show. Being into theatrics, going back to magic seems like a natural thing to do. Michael Jackson has been incorporating magic into his shows for quite a few years, and moreso in his "Dangerous" tour. I guess it just goes to show that Magic is a pretty universal interest. ~P~

yes, MJ used a magic trick on several tours (BAD-Tour as well), according to several sources he works with Siegfried and Roy.
Therefor he made a song called "Siegfried and Roy", played on their shows.

I think it's a bad thing to use magic as a lure, for little children though. I'm going to go out on a limb here...I know.

Speaking of Michael Jackson, I bumped into him in Ceasar's while I was in Las Vegas on August 7th. Later on that day, I went to check out Denny and Lee's, a magic shop on Industrial Road. I'm not sure if I got the name right. Eugene Burger happened to be there that day, and it was great to be able to talk with him; he is a really nice guy. When I came back from Vegas, I was saw and read on magictimes.com that Michael Jackson was in that very same shop that same day. I just found that quite amusing, and it made me wish i spent more time at the shop.
