I sell insurance on the side and I attens a meeting each week that is ment to provide networking contacts. We get a 45 sec. comercial that we can tell about our selves. I figured I would do a magic effect. So I did the Professor McBubbles effect to show how some insurance co. work. It went over Big. I got tons more referals. Each week for my comercial to the group I will enlist a new magic effect.

Glad to hear the effect worked out for you WR. What do you plan on doing at the next meeting?

There are several reasons why this is wise and works well.
First, most people enjoy magic. They are pleased to see some for free and unexpectedly. Second, and more importantly, you have just found a very sneaky way to put a thought into thier heads of "wow, he can do something I can't" this makes what every you are presenting much stronger, even when you know only a little more then the others in the meeting. Nothing wrong with people looking up to you. As a teacher I often start a class or a meeting I am running with an effect. Not always, I don't want to be too predictable.
Magic is like Science,
Both are fun if you do it right! |
