I just picked up Carpenter's Modus Operandi and it is awesome! I don't know about the other though.

I like Carprnter's work...some is quite easy and some is down-right difficult. You can't go wrong with either or both of these books. I especially like his Monte effect called "Steppin Out with Molly"...fantastic. His work on a color change (known as the Impluse Change) is also worth the price of admission on its own.
He did a set of videos for A-1 a number of years ago that are fantastic. The effects on the videos were taken from his two books. A.J. |

Cos I am a book learner, I think I will choose to buy his books instead of videos. Many thanks to Barajista and A.J. for information.

Hi Alex,
I have both books and the video's. I really love Jack Carpenters work and if like me you also enjoy gambling routines, then these books are unbeatable. Get them both and you wont regret it. Regards, Paul H |

A1 multimedia was selling copies for 10 bucks, until about last week... probably sold out... as for his pocket interchange, the routine in his videos is different from the one in the book..

The routine Alex is looking for isn't in either of his books. It can be found in some lecture notes of his or his videos be put out with A-1. Another good resource for this effect would be Alan Ackerman's routine 'A Double Jack' in his notes "How to Tame a Moose". Ed |

Pocket interchange is in his first video, and the effect is the exact same as multiplex reset... the only difference is he doesn't use a jacket for pocket interchange although you could if you wanted to... He even mentioned that the pocket interchange that appears in his video is much better than the version that's in print, because the handling is less constricted...

Hi LiquidSn,
I am a great fan of Jack Carpenters. I also note that his last publication was Expert Portfolio 1. Any chance of a '2' coming out with some of those unpublished 'killers' you mentioned? Well, I can but ask. Regards, Paul H |
