I was at a workshop on the Three Shells with Phil Cass at Sean taylor's Super Day in Sydney about a month ago.
I was the guinea pig because I was sitting at the front. Now Ihave seen phil's routine a few times, but how powerfulitis abut a foot away! His routine is ecxtremely strong psychologically - so when he asked "whereis the pea" I was tring to decide if I should answer asa spectator or a magician - it didn'tmatter , I stil got fried everytime. But I decided then taht my interest in closeup was going to change to the three shells - and as said before, tonow really do the reseach into the whole idea and game. The particular aspect I like are the magnetic shells, because I have an interst in the M5/Pro Pk. Gerard |

I use the School for Scoundrels mag. shells, but save the principle for the very end (" Never be greedy with a principle - Ken Brooke).
I use the shot glass - nice and slow - (no steals) and the specs. just know the pea is there...(which it is). A mag. pea has been used throughout the routine, up to this point, without using its "property". I ring in a second (non mag) pea, and load it under one of the two "discarded" shells. The final vanish of the pea from under the shot glass shell is hard to describe in a short post, but draws heavily on the timing and misdirection that Ken Brooke used for the Chop Cup. It gets a great reaction and you're left clean. I'm having a great time with this! Riley |

Thanks Glen.
It's strange - I've been performing the shells for a long time but never had a "finish" I was happy with until this one . . I guess we never stop learning, do we? Regards Riley |

I feel one of the cool things about magic is the more you know the less you know. There is always something new to learn... I like your posting keep up the great work Riley...
