I am toying with the idea of dressing as a "Blue Man" from the Blue Man Group. Can't wait to hear from the bizzarists in the community.

Not for me personally, but here's one idea. You familiar with the tree witches, a decoration that looks like a witch crashed into a tree? Dress as Osama and hang one of those on your back.

I'll wear a coat and tie, then a scary mask ( d 'ol standard one ) then I'll do random acts of magic.. hehe.. I have an advantage. If I get caught, they won't know me.. Smile

I don't know if I'll be dressing up but I will be using my D'lites when I pass out the candy. Last year I had the most fun ever passing out candy and my D'lites paid for themselves in the pleasure that I and the kids (and parents) had with them.
As you grab a couple of pieces of candy light your D'lite and as the candy is dropped into the kid's bag, let the D'lite go out. The kids just love it and some of them won't stop trying to find the light that you dropped into their bag of goodies. Great fun for all.

I worked in a haunted house for 7 years. I have a lot of props and we now decorate or house if we have the time. I have a couple of different characters that I do during Halloween. One is Regore and one is Regormortus. I have a blast.

Regormortus....uh...I mean Regan

I may just be a wussy, but looking at that picture for any significant amount of time seriously creeps me out! Smile

For Halloween, I'm dressing as myself and performing magic for the trick-or-treaters while I hand out candy (and business cards).

Don't feel bad Profan, Regormortus "creeps people out" quite often.

I made an illusion costume last year for $24. I won every costume contest I entered. I performed magic in this costume and enjoyed it so much, I converted it so I could wear it year round. See the Halloween costume HERE The converted costume (non-scary) can be seen HERE

I am 80% complete on this years costume. I should be done this weekend. I am making a robot costume. I have purchased 100's of $$$ of blinking lights, neon wire, LEDS, and other assorted "Rave" animated lightshows that is going to light me up like Vegas. I will be on roller skates so I can glide instead of walking. The skates are covered so you won't know they are skates. I even bought a voice changer and a space helmet so I can interact with people. This should be my best costume of all time and believe it or not, even at $715 (so far) I will make money on this thing. Oh, total power to light me up is over 800 volts! I work for a company called Electric Lightwave (phone company).... My main motivation was to win their contest (again). This year I will be known as Mr Electric Lightwave!

Muzicman,

I like the busking costume... a lot! Surely a pain at times, I'd bet, but what an attention-getter. If I saw a guy on the street performing like that, I'd definitely stop!

My "illusion" non-scary costume is a great busking costume. It's amazing when I wear it...people tend to start forming around me before I even do anything. They are waiting to see what I am going to do. It definitely makes people stop and do double takes. I did get a hard hat for him and some regular sunglasses. I used my Axtell chimp the first time but I soon reaslized the chimp was not needed. People are curious creatures and once they see the costume, they want to see more. If you ever want to busk, I would recommend a costume like this. You are sure to have more eyes on you than the room allows. I think I need a raised "stage" as only those in the first few rows can really see very well. Maybe a box, crate, ect. I need to elevate myself up higher. It's the ONLY improvement I need to make. I fill great HATS!
