Here is an e-mail I got from XR Illusions today.---
"I'm sorry to bother you again, but I feel like a person who has just lost their home due to a fire, a flood, or other disaster. It appears that the company we are using to host our website with had a serious compromise attack on their server. I don't understand all the technical stuff, but apparently a hacker got in and made real havock. Instead of saving and backing up what they could they essentially pulled the plug, if you will, and started over. That may be all well and good, but sadly we do not have a site back-up copy. If you have surfed our site you realize how much time went into the endless pages that existed. Now we are diminshed to NOTHINGNESS. In fact, the server is still down. So, we can't even put an explaination page on our website. I seriously see this as taking several months to be up and running once again. Sadly our website is the main basis of our business. I must admit that I feel pretty hopeless right now. Yet at the same time not ready to go down with the ship - and I wont! I seriously see this as taking several months for us to recoupe and be back up and running effectively once again. On top of this I certainly hope that they catch the hackers. Sadly our website is our main marketing source of business. However, I know that I must pick myself up and move forward toward having a better site and a better future. I may be wounded, but the battle is not over! I am glad that we are up and running with this new email list program now. Otherwise I would not even be able to contact you to keep you up to date with things that are happening. Rest assured your information is safe with this side of things. I would like to ask a favor of you. Would you please help me to get the word out that XR Illusions Group still is very much here. We really have NOT pulled up stakes nor have we pulled a vanishing act. In fact, our fax and phone is: 717-731-9880. Until we can at least get back up and running with our domain, http://www.xrillusions.com, I may be reached at: xrillusions@comcast.net. My AOL Instant Messenger name is: xrillusionsgroup. We certainly appreciate your support as we rebuild the backbone of our business - our website. I would certainly love to hear from you just so I can keep my mind off the problem and directed toward the future. More importantly, toward the art of magic and our customers. If it were not for you we would not exist in the first place. Thank you! Billy Diamond XR Illusions Group " |

Well that's high tech - "technology" for you. not to sound mean, but you need to always have a backup of any type of computer files.
It is just common business sense. |

The owner of XR Illusions is in COURT for bad business practices. Read the other posts about him.
