I figured out how it works after watching the demo several times in a row, but on the dvd or download, you get more than just the vanish. You learn how to use it as a switch and there are many other moves and nuances that go into making this effect seem so real. It is well worth the price. Don't let that fool you. Do a search on this, if you've never heard of him, but:
Mickey Silver can make a Silver Dollar VANISH in the most incredible way I've EVER seen in thirty-five years of being in magic! I'll use my Raven every chance I get, but Mickey...he needs NOTHING but one coin. Doug |

From what I heard, revolution is much easier than the SUV. People are able to do the revolution in less than a month, some probably in less than two days.
Retention... ha. I have a strong belief that nearly all the people who claim to have gotten a good retention pass in less than a month are kidding themselves. Yes, it's possible to make it good enough to fool a spectator soon if you have talent. But to make it good enough for my standards, or nearly as good as Mickeys, would take much, much more than that. Many of the people who make videos including the move have mediocre retentions. And I am risking myself again, but I personally feel that some of the more famous magicians have flawed retentions. For example, I've just been checking out a site, and there is a copper and silver transposition, the retention was done too fast, and the retention of vision didn't even take place. Not to mention the hand looked weird too, making it less effective than a simple vanish with classic palm. Retention is very good, but it's not easy. It's learnt, not paid for. I would not say the same for revolution. "...he needs NOTHING but one coin" What's special about that? All false transferrs requite only one coin. I don't think it's the move, or secret that makes it so good, it's the practice and skill behind the move. In the BAT video, MagicKim, there is a T-Shirt hookup. I use it sometimes. As far as I know, raven is the only open in-the-spectators-hand short sleeved untouched coin change. There are ways to achieve similar effects through sleights, but even though I don't like raven that much, I must admit it has its strong points.
Neophyte.
