As a prisoner in the public school system myself I think her three card monte trick might get her a one day home suspension if the wrong person sees it(read teacher).

I am going to agree with much of what has been said here. Especially O'mally's comments about revenge. I don't know how old you are, but I remember my teen age years well. Since I am now a high school teacher, I see this kind of one-upsman-ship happening all the time. This is the first time I have seen it with magic.
Please consider: most young people who want to learn magic do so for showing off. They tend to lack the displine to enforce the "magicians never tell" idea, and end up making themselves look cheep. Remember no one who learns how a trick is done ever watched the painful hours of practice it took to make it happen. I think your best bet is to counsel you daughter to let the whole thing go. In a high school the whole business will be forgotten for another "crisis" in a few weeks, hopefully someone elses. Later, if your daughter really wants to learn magic, start her off with some simple self working stuff that if she gives it away is not the end of the world. If she show interest and aptitude, move up to some better stuff.
Magic is like Science,
Both are fun if you do it right! |

If the guy/girl was in her class I'd say have her do a SHOW and "NO TELL" perormance in her class and do the Henry Evans Three Card Monte. They will all go away scratching their heads!
