Hello to everyone.
I just became a member today and I started being really into magic around April this year.... so, I'm still fairly new...... I also enjoy playing yo-yos... I really got into magic when I saw David Blaine.... I'm actually trying to make some money by doing kids shows.... anyone have any idea how much I should charge for half an hour? Or any other tips regarding kids shows? I also want to buy a torn and restoration video...... anyone know which is the best T&R video available? Smile

Welcome aboard, Wu Tang.
Just a word of caution: A lot of performers figure they'll get into kids' shows because they're easy.
Wrong!
Doing kids' shows well is about the hardest thing you will ever do in magic.
cheers,

Welcome Friend Wu Tang,

There are a number of good torn and restored videos available. I like Jay Sankey's Carboard Contortionists - two torn at a time!!!

And it is hard to beat John Lovik's Reparation video, for a good one peice at a time restoration.

Torched and Restored is super, but to my knowledge, not available on video - although the booklets of instructions makes it pretty clear. And it is less expensive than a video.

But check the card forum here, for much more on the topic!

Have fun man. You have a lot of nerve to want to do magic for kids. It takes a real talent. Good luck.

Well met Wu Tang!

They won't let me perform for children anymore ever since...

Nah... I won't say anything else.
