Ok all these tricks work the same way, and look the same. So why do people keep creating this effect over and over again. eg. pen through anything, stealth pen, b2 bomber, perfect penitration, etc.

Somehow I don't like Pen thru anything.... It does not look real. And to all the laypeople I performed it to, the first thing they say its m*&n@$t. Maybe its just me....

I have found the reaction's to be mixed with this effect although I have had screams in the past which just goes to show all spectator's are different, however in the presentation that I use I hand the pen out at the end so everything can be inspected.
on the whole though I get enough strong reaction's to alway's have it with me when I'm working. |

People always do a beeline for the bill when I perform it. They rarely pick up the pen.

Try the ungimmicked version pen or pencil tru bill totally impromptu ...
I am not sure who the creator is so I can not give credit. Effect: you fold a dollar bill in the center of piece of paper, push the pen through bill and paper. The bill is shown un harmed yet there is a hole in the paper ...... vinny |

Vinny,
Sounds like the Sankey/Harkey method. To those who like the gimmicked pen thru's, I think all of them are enhanced by the addition of the rip gimmick. They can stare right at the penetration and the magic doesn't happen until the pen is pulled back through, and they always grab for the bill! |

If you get a version that comes with a duplicate pen, then while people are checking out the bill, you can switch pens, then let them examine the pen.

I really don't like the pen thru bill effect. I use the pen for a "recap" like routine. it could be used in a bunch of other better ways IMHO.

Paula is right. It is all about the money. Get the Stealth Pen. It is the best in my opinion.

I hate all this penetrating pen. It looks so so fake! Think about it!

As far as the presentation goes, though, it's exactly like the one you've described here. Barry

I know about that. I used Perfect Pen from John Cornelius before. In the instructions, it did say about having a rip gaff but somehow I just don't like it. It's personally my opinion. To me pen penetration screams magnet! Its different with Misled or Just Passin Thru though. I always manage to get away with those. But pen? Nahhh. Magnets!

H_A_Z, to each his own, but I suggest that you try it for laymen...I have, hundreds of times, and it gets a very strong reaction.
