I use the Krenz rip gaff. I do a "how to tell if a bill is counterfit" routine. If it's a "real" bill, because of the special fibers in the bill, the tear should heal right up. As I'm kneading the "hole" the pen is already in my pocket out of site. The hole is healed, right where they put their initials with then pen a moment ago.
"If you look closely, can you see where the hole was?" They always can.

the saddest are, "It might have been" ..........John Greenleaf Whittier |

Magic Patagonia, that is NICE! Thanks for showing that! Fooled me! That's rare! I watched it three times.

"Tricks Co. Ltd." Tokyo, Japan, is where that came from. Anyone know if this is a Tenyo item?

Thanks... that does look nice! I tend to avoid the penetrations that need a paper cover to work - could look suspicious (don't know how he did it though).
I do the Juan Pablo switch for several different plots, and this thread gave me an idea to use the switch to actually stab a bill with a pen or pencil (both can be borrowed), and then JP restore it in a flash. How about a reverse penetration - where you use a "visible" (stealth?) pen, which doesn't make a hole, and then use an "invisible" pen ala JP to make a real hole. Customer could pretend to stab the bill, etc., etc. What do you think of these ideas? ...need some encouragement to try them :O) |

Magic Patagonia,
That effect is Hirose's Invisible Hole. My personal favourite along side Vanni Bossi's. |

Thanks....didn't know. I'll have to look that up. I'll give it a try in my restaurant gig.

I believe you can find it in Harry Lorayne's Apocalypse (Apocalypse Vol 8 No 3 March 85). Another example of the impressive volume of great magic found in that publication!
