Are there any passes out there which don't use squaring the deck as a cover?

I would not consider A "bluff pass" a pass in the technical sense of the term.
Besides the usual riffle, jig, half-a-jig, turn-over, rotation, fan, etc... there is also the very good cover of droping a card on the table! My 2 cents Ronnie Lemieux

The Le Paul "a flourish and a pass" comes to mind.

Look at table hops - Charlie Miller has one that is very good, though the timing is "a bear", as Jack McMillen used to say...
The LePaul "Flourish and a Pass" is quite good in certain situations... Try the "S.W.E. Shift" and the "Open Shift"... Marlo has a whole genre of "Wrist-Turn" shifts worth a look... That should get you started... Best, PSC
