Page 298 in Mark Wilson's complete course in magic has the linking paper clips, with and without the rubber band.
Plus of course hundreds of other great tricks. This is the book i would recomend to anyone wanting to start in magic.

Good Luck

Hi Iris
Andy made a very quick reply but as usual he's spot on. This is a really neat linking effect which is good to do in the office or at the pub. I personally don't know of any more paper clip effects but in a similar vein there are some very strong linking pin routines. Are you familiar with these?

Dan Garrett's video 'Close-up Connivery' explains a routine called 'Pin-demonium'
which, using ordinary safety pins demonstrates a bewidering series of magical linking and unlinking. It's a very good, simple routine.
Then there's the Andrus linking pins which use a gaffed safety pin but I've never seen that.
There's also a Bernstein linking pins effect which I'm about to get but haven't seen yet.
Search other areas of this forum for more references to this subject. Hope this helps.

Check out Jay Sankey's, The Very Best Of Jay Sankey Volume 2 called "Clipped" utilizing ordinary paper clips.
