ABOUT YOUR STYLE:
When I first did a armspread for a live crouwd I got MASSIVE reactions. was on scout camp. my reputation grew BIG. ppl started asking me to do the "thing where I spread the cards in my arm and throw the up" all the time. Just add a little danger to it. catch it near the ground and say that you have only done it like 2-3 times before.

ABOUT THUMBS:
when you put limitations on yourself you become more creative and you get better. If you can do something without using thumbs or using smal glowes making your fingers shorter, you'r skill will grow. You can also adapt this in your routine. first do a cut, then you say. "not let me try this without using my thumb" and do it again.

well.. do what you want. Keep true to your style. that's ok. lol.

Don't want to start something. just make sure you understand my views.

Thanks you

Scandinavian XCM for ever.

Burns is completely right ! I also heard from a lot others that everyone in SH must be creative and must have their own style that's why anyone performs Devos moves in HL will be banned for ever because of copying his style. Luckily I got my own ideas like Burns said, I didn't perform any of Devos moves even the cobra and stay in the forum safe.

Then again.

I do not put too much effort to my videos when I make them. Sure I could go and get some expensive video camera and fix a background under me where you see posters and xcm sculptures (Or whatever they are called) But as I want to be limited to being in my room, filming with my webcam, its limiting.

I respect your opinions and I understand them but my way to present flourishes is my way. I usually don't walk up to someone "Look, I will now do a cut." Done. "Look, I will now do it without my thumbs" Done. "Now with only 3 fingers." Done "Now with no fingers at all!" Done "Now I will show you my telekinesis and do it with nothing!" And so on. Nah, I just sit and relax and do cuts and fans and aerials and whatever suits me.

Now thanks for your comments everyone, its appreciated. Smile

Ok. I see.
But I have an idea though. try filming from a different angle, try doing cutts standing up.
about thumbs: fine. you don't really have to do it if you don't wanna or if it's not your style.

I'm just a little frustrated that you got cool moves but don't present them cool. that's all.

I did in another thread. hmm.
Try standing up, try to show the moves from a different angle, experiment with different backs. use a colored cloth as background and experiment with different shirt colour, (same as background or direct opposite). try to have someone else film you (yes, with webcam) and make the cam move. try experimenting with zoom. Use music that goes with your moves. I could go on and on. Heck try to do the moves hanging upside down. lol

Just be creative. I'm sure you can do it. Smile

Another boring sybil variation video. I know Cap Casino inspired you much in doing sybils and stuff but I hope one day you can try some other stuff like burns said. And not just giving some nice names to your videos but the content's hopeless...

Jacky,
please, please, for the love of god, please realise that some people actually PREFER doing cuts and not XCM.

There's the XCM world, which of course, is awesome, and De'vo's and Jerry's material is extraordinary but it does NOT cater to some people (like myself). There is nothing wrong with magicians liking fancy cuts, and even less so making a video just to showcase our skills.

And as I said in the other post... "Boring sybil variations", come on, I've personally had enough of people discriminating against videos just because they comprise of cuts only, and saying that it's just all "sybil variations" and "changing finger positioning", etc. A LOT of stuff in there is not sybil-based, FYI. And I don't think a lot of the stuff is Cap Casino's either. In fact, I don't see any of Cap's work in there. Smile

Guys who make senseless idiotic posts like you crack me up. You contradict yourself by first saying that you "love" Cap Casino's dvd, then say that you don't want to see "sybil variations", blah blah, which was the main focus of Cap's dvd. Smile Smile

Back to harwin's video now.

Haha, us making up new names for sybils, eh?

I got my X sybil, and that name makes a lot of sense as it is a display where 4 packets form an x.

Besides that, I don't think I have any other sybils that I have different names for.

if you think all I do is sybils, please watch the video agan but with your eyes open this time.¨

I just watched my video, I did 2 sybils and 7 other moves. Wheres all the sybils?

Ive told you before, I don't do armspreads. (That seems to be the main point in XCM so should we start saying you do too many armspreads variations?) I do Aerials and Fans, sure. And I have some in older videos as well. So you cant claim that I only do Sybils and nothing else.

Same ol' sybils, same ol' video, same ol' stuff. Buck the Bucks, Keone, Tudor, Bone and many others are far better than this low budget clone.

Don't be mad at the truth. Don't hate yourself for what you are. Maybe someday you can be like the buck twins or cap casino. Just keep on trying.
Good luck,
