I recently purchased a set of "Wild Cards" and "Gypsy Curse" from Cards by Martin.
In what books are there any good routines for them?

If it is the old 'wild card' routine, Peter Kane had some stuff on it and Frank Garcia had a whole book dedicated to it.

The Complete Works of Derek Dingle has my favorite version of Gypsy Curse.

What is the name of the book by Frank Carcia, and is it still available?

You may want to check out Wesley James's "Watch the Wild Ace" from his book, "Enchantments." I'll just warn you though, once you read it, you'll be going out to buy a whole new set of gaffs.

Peo,
I believe Garcia's book was just titled "Wild Card". Not sure if it is still available. I know I see it every now and then on ebay. Jim

I'll answer you question WITH a question.
Why would you by a trick if you don't know what you want to do with it? Isn't that like buying a car when you have no where to go? Tommy Wonder's Tamed Card. Peter Samuelson's Invasion of the Body Snatchers Aldo Columbini has a vert nice in the hands version in his lecture notes... sorry I can't recall the name of them.... perhaps someone else will locate them and post? |

You would also be interested in reading Bro.John Hamman's 'Mystic Nine', which was the origin of 'Wild Card'.
It uses only normal cards, but you can perform almost same effect as 'Wild Card'. Only regret with Hamman version is the climax which is to show 5 red cards and 5 black cards. In my version of 'Mystic Nine', you can show that backs of all cards changed to red as the climax. (At the beginning, backs were blue). As it is not difficult to figure out the combination of red backed cards and blue backed cards, I suggest you to think about it if you like. Hideo Kato |

In the back of Paul Wilson's "Little Black Book" there is a clever wild card routine. You also receive the neccessary cards when you get the booklet.

For the "Gypsy Curse" have a look at Ron Bauer's
Private Studies Number 2, "Sudden Death Gypsy Curse". |
