Hi,

I am currently looking for a set of Multiplying Pocket Watches to use in my Young Magician of the Year act next year, but I have found a few different versions on sale, so any help would be great!

The first set is at http://www.daytonamagic.com/Stage%20Magi......0WATCHES , and these watches cost $60.

The next are at http://www.thetrickery.com/?nd=full&key=7235 and these are quite new, but more expensive at $75.

There is the complete Richard Ross act at http://www.cupsandballs.nl but this costs over £3000, so I can't quite afford it being only 14!

However, I don't know the quality of each of these watch sets, or which are better to use than the other, so as I said, any help would be really useful!
I noticed that in Richard Ross's act that he also does the multiplication of watches on chains, and I haven't found this on sale anywhere apart from in the £3000 complete act for sale. Is this sold anywhere, or in any magic writing?

Thanks in advance!

These are the same product. They are made by Tora magic.

If you can't afford the Richard Ross model that sell for 4500 euro's or $5,500, then the Tora model is the only ones available.

The Tora models are listed at http://www.shaunyee.com also, he has a finale on chains. I have emailed Shaunyee.com several times but have not gotten any response. Tora says they do not make this finale he lists as being made by Tora.

There was or is a Japanese company/toy maker that made tricks under the name of Tricks Co. I have not been able to find them on the web. Many years ago they made a few pocket watche tricks: Watch on Chain, Silk to Watch, Hook Watch, and a Watch to Jumbo Watch.

The ones you referenced are not expensive for the workmanship and speciality item you are looking for.

Thanks Bill,

I have contacted Tora Magic about their products, which appear to be very good quality, and are excellent prices.

However, when I asked them whether or not the gloves are necessary to 'Increasing Pocket Watches' ( http://www.toramagic.com/htm/inc.htm ) he replied that the use of the gloves in the trick is that there is important.

I asked him if it could you done bare-handed and he said yes, but it wouldn't be as easy to handle.
He said that it also could be done using complete sleight of hand and and in that way they can be produced

Can anyone who owns this product, or understands the method, tell me if it is possible to perform without gloves.

Is this method different to that of the watches used by Richard Ross?
Could you possibly PM me if it can't be discussed on an open-forum?!

Thanks for the help,
Sam

I received my yesterday. I ordered them from: http://www.magic.org/store/product_info.php?products_id=4979

Gloves are not advised. The watches are cheap. Read the review the guy left behind.

This one seems more interesting because of the ending: http://www.shaunyee.com/english%20genera......%20clock
