Yeah, Frank, we've had both series 1 and 2 over here. Wait till you see the Christmas special. If you don't get it, it's available on DVD.

Have you had the episode where David does his "dance" in the office? You will laugh your socks off...and cringe at the same time.

Brilliant stuff.

That's the problem when you have lots and lots of TV channels. It's difficult to find someone who watched the same programme as you!

Not a great TV watcher, and if we do it's usually movies or news. Is The Office politically INcorrect? If so then goody, goody, goody, - oh how we need some politically incorrect laughs just like the old days!

Isn't the office in America different to the one in England, like same format but different actors..?

Unpolitical correctness.. hear, hear I'm all for that!
whatever happened to free speech!

If you really want to see some proper un-pc stuff , try and get the DVDs of the TV series from the 60's
"Love thy Neighbour" when all this silly rubbish about banning words like blackboard and ba-ba black sheep and postman etc, etc.

Get the DVDs - excellent extras - on the Christmas Special DVD, you get the full video of David Brent's "If You Don't Know Me By Now" and the "studio" version of "Free Love Freeway".

I remember when they tried an American version. I never saw it, but I don't think it went over too well.

However, I have seen most of the British episodes and they're great! I've gotten the DVDs from the library, but I haven't gotten the Christmas special DVD. I've shown it to several people, but they didn't like it too much. My dad said (it makes me embarassed to be related to him) that it needed a laugh track. NOOO!!!

I Like the British episodes and I thought the American version was pretty good as well. I think the American version did get picked up for another run on NBC.

Like Red Dwarf or Doctor Who, I can't imagine a successful translation of Little Britain. Will look for 'The Office' where I found Doctor Who.

The British version of the Office ran on HBO(it's may still be running) The American version was a fairly good remake. Steven Carrell is very funny. I agree Red Dwarf could never be done justice in a remake. Nor Fawlty Towers or a lot of the very, very good Britcoms. But the office wasn't bad. If you haven't seen the British version of it, the American version probably plays that much better.
