Well if we can stop the war in Magic Café, Then we can prove that the war in iraq can be stopped. Hee hee. Being dropped in Iraq? Hmmm, I think I will passon that escape thank you. Escaping binds I can do, Escaping bombs is a different story.

To be Honest I think the war in iraq will be stopped first. theres to many immature and instigators that have to start arguments here. especialy the ones who have to use another name to hide who they truly are.

Hey Don.
No Fair. I don't go by my real name, I go by my nickname because that is what everyone knows me as. I don't hide behind it though. I will give my real name to anyone who asks for it. But I think you are right as to the iraq war stopping. I am new on this site and have already read all the bickering comments that some have made here. It is good to see them challenging each other though. Maybe that is the new approach that we need for escapes. Two escapeartists in one show, challenging each other. I think that the audience would love a showdown like that, bloodthirsty as they are.

Wolflock it's not you. but there are others who have more then one id. and when they slam someone they use the different id. so no one knows who they are. also why not have like a escape competition. and see which act the audience enjoyed best.

Great idea. I think we should try to set something up. What do you think?

How about a grisly reality show:
"The World's Greatest Escape Artist" I'll gladly be on the test-stunt-planner/judging committee. Steve

Commitee? I thought you would be joining us in the action, Stephen? We will get the audience to be the committe, judge, jury and executioner. I think that this type of show could turn out to be a full scale massacre instead of an escape.

There will be an open Escape competition at the 3rd Annual Escape Artist Convention in Ontario, California October 6th through the 9th with a cash prize of $250(this is still all unoffical until the Cannon's post it on their website) I'm not a real big fan of all of these "internet" challenges, but for those who are serious about a competition, this seems like a great place to start. You have almost a year to really prepare. I plan on entering, and I hope we have a lot of participation at this convention and this event, and for those who like to "Talk the Talk" this will be a good place to show you can really "Walk the Walk". So maybe we can channel all of this competitive spirit into a really positive thing and have a great turnout for the competition. I hope to see you all there!
Best regards, Tony Parisi |

Well, Wolflock, If I were between 19 and 32 I would join the 'battle,' but am now 48, with hypertension and type-2 diabetes. I now specialize in mentalism and bizarrism for a REASON (as does Karl Bartoni, who had heart trouble a few years ago).
I'll leave the 'high-stress' escaping to the young up-and-comers and those old-timers who are still in good physical health. Steve Oh, and add to that the fact that I never claimed or even wanted the 'world's greatest' title. Steve

The war over there can be stopped tomorrow. To eliminate all the fanatics and insurgents just drop loads of 'Oder Eaters'. poof.

And...let them remind us of what we should not allow to happen again.

Steve, that's what they always say during and after a war. But human nature is to be cruel and brutal ( justified by morals and convictions of each of both sides ) One can only dream of peace but it will never happen. Just a nice thought to occupy our minds.

Ian. That is so true. Humans are a bloodthirsty species. Heck I think Escape artists, if anyone, can prove that. The more daring the escape, the more they enjoy it.
Steve, I understand and wish only the best of healthy to you. I love mentalism tricks but don't know much about them. I still use some of the old mentalism tricks. ie. Dunninger's work. Am wanting to get "13 Steps to Mentalism" this christmas. Would you suggest it to be a good book to get? Or would you suggest something better? I think you are wise leaving the potentially harmful escapes to us stupid young ones who don't know the real value of life yet. I know that I can be stupid at times with escapes, but it is all done to entertain my spectators. *Sigh* the things we do to make others happy. Regards Wolflock

Wolflock a Audience is very nice to have but so is your life. also there is another forum on here that deals in mentalism if you want to know about a book you might need to ask in the book section.

I will do that. I just thought I would kill two birds with one stone and ask Steve, seeing as he is here. Plus I don't have much time to scan the other places. (Too busy trying to keep up with you and your posts hee hee)
