Hello,
I am a juggler/magician from Australia. I have an audience particpation piece of skipping without a rope...I BASICALLY DO TRICKS IN THE MIDDLE of the rope and I have two members so the audience pretends to spin the rope.

I then get one of the helpers to jump in the rope...I then run away and there is one person jumping up and down and the other is spinning his arm around.
It looks very funny and always gets a good laugh.

Can anyone think of any good jokes/lines for this act or any extra bits to add?
Thanks
James

You could say, "I'm running short of time so I think I should skip the next trick" but you'll probably get a groan, not a laugh....

If you're good at your comedy trips you could do a running gag where you keep walking between the volunteers and apparently 'trip' over the rope. Tell volunteers off and make them hold it lower.

Tug-o'-war with an invisible rope might be just as funny as skipping....

Thanks, they are awesome ideas. Any other similar ones would be awesome. I love the trip idea, and tug o' war.

You could mention that this is your pet rope and that you raised it from a string.

I'm from the future (or wherever). Skipped all the way.

Sounds like a very physical routine. Do you yap much during it or are you mainly a silent performer? This would help in the direction of ideas.

How do you introduce the "invisible" rope? Do tell more. Sounds very clever.

Hold up the invisible rope and ask, "is this my invisible rope?"

Shake your head. "Nope, frayed knot."

If your physical acting is good, when you run away you could pretend to trip on or "clothesline" yourself on the invisible rope...

Are you just looking for clean jokes or something a little knotty?
